Night out in Sheffield

It’s safe to say that it’s OK for the parents of Sheffield to let their kids loose on the streets at night again after this weekend    There were more than enough Superhero’s for the night tho incase anything did kick off.  I’m so glad that I did end up going out, and spent enough (luckily thanks to being the driver I hardly spent any of my own money)  I knew John, Northy and Scott were planning their outfit for a while, but I wasn’t too sure what they were going as, until I agreed to pick them up from the middle of Mansfield about half 4, and saw 3 red things in my rear view mirror! Their outfit was awesome, and it was one of the most searched terms on this blog at the moment, a Morphsuit! They seemed to get a fantastic reaction everywhere they went, altho they did get asked for ID once or twice! But then the bouncers just seemed to laugh it off with the lads.  During the night we did see a few others wearing the suits, so the craze is catching on!  We all met up in the Cockle pub and then everyone bar Ali and Bacon jumped on the minibus, cos I didn’t have a clue where best to park or anything in Sheffield, and we were on our way.  Got to Sheffield after about an hour, no thanks to the roadworks around the Sheffield Parkway causing much grief to our lane of traffic.  The whole night was an absolute ball and was one laugh after the other, but I’m not gonna go into any detail about what went off :p

YES that’s right! I gave Watsi a lift home, and we didn’t give him the key to the shackles till our game with the Red on Sunday morning! We didn’t play like we could, and the wind was causing havoc, but I had one of my worst games for a while I think! I am still suffering from this bloody cold, and found it difficult to run, and my legs soon felt like they’d been tied in knots :s  This Bananaman certainly didn’t have his banana’s before the game! Sunday afternoon I just chilled watching the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, dreaming of staying in the hotel which overlooks the track.  No expense sparred as you’d imagine over there!  Once home I just wanted to chill out, and watched the Cardiff vs Forest game, and was happy it ended in a draw! If only we can beat Sheff United tonight then it’ll have been a very good weekend, apart from the Cockle result.

Photos stolen from John’s facebook gallery, as my phone was being stupid and I didn’t get very many photos at all

    Argh!
Those morph people are disturbing. Scary stuff.

“Well done” last night – through gritted teeth. All reports suggest it was wholly undeserved but it’s not effort, possession and chances that win games – it’s goals. Albeit ones where our defender was crocked by bastard Nolan and then you played on, shot wide and got a lucky deflection.

    No. I’m not happy.

    Blackwell summed it up best:

“We were fabulous. It was a foul on Kyle Walker and then it goes in off Morgan.

“I thought we were the better side by a mile. That was top class in every respect – there wasn’t much wrong. I’m proud of the players.”

Bit too far away to see the foul, but like I told our gaffer on Sundays, who is also a Blade, play like that and you WILL be up there near the end of the season. First half it was pure 1 way traffic. 2nd half we improved a little. Need to see the goal again tho
