Cafu to play for Garforth town! *shock*

Thursday, December 18th, 2008

This story just caught my eye on the BBC Sport page…. LINK Seems the manager has a bit of pull with Brazilian legends! Wonder who’s local to me in that league

Former AC Milan and Brazil right-back Cafu has been lined up to play for Unibond Northern League team Garforth Town next year.

The club’s manager, Simon Clifford, has played down talk of a move in January but has persuaded the 38-year-old to join before the end of the season.

“He’s likely to be coming in April to just play a few games,” said Clifford.

“It’s an honour to have someone like him lining up in our shirt and I think he’ll add something on the field.”

Clifford runs the Brazilian Soccer Schools coaching organisation and has built up a number of contacts in the game.In 2004 he attracted Brazil legends Socrates and Careca to play for the club and the addition of Cafu is another major coup for the West Yorkshire town.

Just last season the World Cup winner was plying his trade with AC Milan but was without a club having being released in the summer after five years at the San Siro.

He is Brazil’s most capped player of all time having played 142 times for his country and has won the World Cup twice – in 1994 and 2002

No Christmas spirit here… Move along…

Thursday, December 18th, 2008

Ha ha! For some reason I’m still not “feeling” the whole Christmas spirit at the moment! I keep being called scrooge, when people ask if I’ve got the house decorated, and I tell them the tree is gathering dust, and hasn’t been used for about 3 years now!! For some reason I don’t see the point in decorating, when its only ever me in the house on my own!   Who knows! Things may change over the next year that get me looking forward to next Christmas (Don’t bank on it tho  )

In other news… Left work yesterday and headed to the boss’s house to sort out an email account for him, and accepted the offer of a beer, and chatted to Danny for a bit about our Lew and his misdemeanor, and completely forgot about the antibiotics I’m on, so I felt a little light headed walking down Marks driveway, which I may add is slippy as fuck!! I nearly slipped over twice, but thats cos my trainers have very little grip haha!  Nipped to my mum and dads, and helped myself to the last cob, and a packet of crisps and a drink of coffee, before heading off to meet John at the gym.  HAd a laugh working the shoulders, and then headed home via Macdonalds.  Got chatting to one or two people on msn before having a nice hot bath, and then heading to bed.

I see Big Sam has taken over as manager of Blackburn.  Lets hope he fucks them up as much as he did with us, buying dross like a past it Alan Smith and others :D Good luck in taking Blackburn down Sam!

Also I’ve given up chasing Stevie for the Christmas meal photos  Suppose she’ll upload them when she’s ready :p

Call of Duty: World at War – Wiggys Story

Wednesday, December 17th, 2008

I’ll be the first to admit that I love playing these shoot-em-up games.  Normally I can complete them on regular difficulty, and then REALLY struggle to get anywhere on Veteran mode  I’ve got about 65% through COD 4 on Veteran before getting very very pissed off with dying every 2 seconds, so gave up in the end, even tho Crit managed to complete it on Veteran.  Well as I’ve gone through on Regular and completed it, I’ve decided to do it Veteran style, and completed Semper Fi last night, after the gran total of about 3 hours attmepting to break through the first bloody ambush    I have decided that i AM gonna try my bloody hardest to complete this on Veteran, even tho I struggled to clear out the mortar pits and one or two other bits on Regular  Keep tuned for any updates haha!

Quick update…

Wednesday, December 17th, 2008

So having been to the dentist yesterday, I’m now on 500mg of some Amoxicillin every 8 hours! Wouldn’t be so bad, but the capsules are fucking huuuuge!!  Gotta go back on the 5th January for some treatment.  I like the dentist I saw yesterday, because we were laughing and joking, unlike the butcher who I went to see the first time I registered with that practive last year    This one is heading back home for Christmas, and told me there is an emergency dentist that can extract the tooth if I’m in any pain over Christmas, BUT if I say that she has left it in, for any other reason other than cos I wimped out of having it removed, she’ll kill me    GOD I HATE DENTISTS!!

Once I’d done I looked at my watch, and there was little point facing the traffic home, so I had a quick half an hour in the gym as I was over that way, then nipped some DVD’s over to my mum and dad that I had borrowed.  Also humbly went round and apologised to the hairdressers for missing my last cut, and I’ve managed to get in on Saturday afternoon which is a result :D

I look like Harry fricking Potter!!

More on the title of the blog later, and a picture if I remember to upload it

It’s been a mixed bag since Iast updated on Wednesday/Thursday.  Including Work Christmas Meal, quite a bit of gym work, playing football and winning 11-2, and watching the whole of Season 1 of Prison Break over 2 days haha! – *Photos to follow soon honest!

I want this keyboard..

Monday, December 15th, 2008

Was chatting to Mark on the way to Chelsea the other week, about cool tablets and things that use bluetooth, and mean you can just sit around, and operate your pc from the other side of the room and things.  Well he’s bought one of these diddy little things, and they’re fucking ace! I want one now!!

It’s called a diNovo Mini™ and can be found on the Logitech website

How fucking cool is that!

Server Move

Friday, December 12th, 2008

Was a litle shocked to learn this morning when I nipped to work, that Maddsy had tried to access my blog, and it wouldn’t load up for him.  Tired it on a different machine at work, and it was fine, so I thought nothing of it, till I got home.  Tried to load it up and had no luck :? Then I got an email saying

Oh bollocks I thought, and luckily my Tech Support (olly) was on GTalk, and he told me this was due to the hosting company him and Dave are running Dijihost had taken over a brand new server over here in the UK as opposed to the transatlantic ones they’d been running from before.  All should be swell now, and hopefully everything will be running alot quicker :D

Ouch!

Thursday, December 11th, 2008

Well that was fun! And I’ve got more to come tomorrow afternoon    Went to the gym last night, and we were both aching like fuck from the chest session the night before, due to the pair of us not going for best part of 2 weeks through illness and shit, and we decided to have an easy back session.  Only problem being, as I was already aching, by the time we’d gotten half way through my body parts felt like they were being crushed! It hurt to move    Did quite a bit on the stomach too, so lets hope thats looking good next summer :D

Tonight should be fun, with my new Lime green cardigan  Just trying to decide what to wear under it :D
