to my little nephew Owen
Hope you have a great day little man.
Anyway been a few days so pretty sure it’s worth an update :D I’m aching like fuck from the gym on tuesday night. First time I’d done anything on the chest for nigh on 2 weeks, and I struggled to lift what I had done previously, but managed to JUST make it through the session. That was until John decided to do some crazy ass exercise on one of the benches at the end! Fair play it was only 25lbs free-weights, but it went a little something like this…
- 1 Bench-Press
- 1 Fly
- 2 Bench-Presses
- 1 Fly
- 3 Bench-Presses
- 1 Fly
and so on untill we did 10 Bench-Presses and the final Fly. It really began to hurt around the 8 Bench-Press set and thanks to John shouting “Come on… Easy” I managed to complete the whole set! YAY TO ME!!
So Monday night I was beginning to dread the game the closer we got to kick-off, as Villa are a cracking side on paper, but on Monday night we didnt give them a chance to play! For once our defence is beginning to look Solid, Barton and Jonas seem to have made such a difference in the middle of the park, now all we need is Guthrie in for Butt and Charlie in for Duff this weekend, and we can go to Fulham and attack them from the off, and come away with another 3 points, that will hopefully lift us further up the table. Anyway for now we’re back above the Unwashed which after the day we’d like to forget, shows what a difference a week or two makes! Thanks to Stenners for the GIF’s again mate (See you’ve got proper credit today :p ) and Hi to any of the TTBAWA lads reading.
Oba’s 1st goal
- Notice the failed somersault
Oba’s 2nd goal thanks to some brilliant running by Jonas
The rest of the week so far I’ve been chilling out at home watching the Champions League as per usual. Liverpool seem to have the luck this season, with Gerrard jumping into a defender who was a little slow to go for the header, and won possibly the softest penalty I’ve seen in a long time (even softer than the Robinho one against us the other week  Last night I watched the Celtic vs Man Utd game, and it was pretty much Defence (Celtic) vs Attack (Man Utd), and towards the end I really did think they’d hold onto the 1-0 scoreline, but in the end Giggs popped up with an equaliser in the last 10 minutes.
I forgot that it was FA Cup weekend this weekend, till I got a text off our Stef asking me what the away stand was called at Chesterfields ground. Turns out him, Mlac, Spid and aload of others have tickets in the Mansfield end when they take on their bitter rivals! Should be a fun afternoon round Chesterifeld then ![]()
