Well! What started as a social pint or two in a pub on Wednesday night when it was being organised, turned into a full blown Thursday night session in Mansfield!! So after meeting up with Mr Bagi and Wayniac in the Swan, Sweeney popped down for a bit, and what we thought was gonna be a few jars in town ended up with me and Dan in Liquid till bout half 1, then via Subway he dropped me off home, feeling just a little bladdered
Was going all to plan, a 2 or 3 beers in the Swan, and then off to Romans, where we had another 2 beers. By this time Dan had met up with us and was driving into town. We then headed over to Wetherspoons where the Jaegermeister and Red Bulls started (after having one neat in an earlier pub
) Then into Cheekys, and then Liquid, where it was free to get in if I remember rightly
After a few drinks in there, and me and Sweeney owning the dancefloor, they left, and me and Dan stayed in there till bout half 1, when via a trip to subway, I got a lift home.
Work the following day was a nightmare. I felt really rough, and it turns out so was Sweeney, so HA HA! Serves you right son ;)Â Anyway it was a pretty quiet day to be honest, thank god, as Geoffrey and Lee were out on their day off (not together may I add, unless there is something we dont know
) Anyway it was decided that Zoe was gonna do all the stuff that came in on the Friday, to refresh her memory about how to do the designs and that, only for Maddsy to turn round and get me to do 2 or 3 :? Bloody weirdo. got home Friday night, and it was raining, so after a bit of a text chat with Phil, we decided to knock the football on the head for the week (being the fair-weather players we are), which also gave me time to chill out a bit, and get my head around packing my case, as I was due to be at my parents house for 2am!!!!! Ended up sat at the computer chatting to my mate Emzi, whilst watching the football on the telly, with Half-Time spent sorting out my case. I was in two minds as to staying up, and getting some kip on the plane and that, but conceded defeat bout half 10. Alarm woke me up at half 1 and I collected my things together, and nipped to Asda to get one or two things, and got to the top of the hill before realising one thing…. I aint going anywhere without my Passport!!! Which luckily I’d left on the table for me to pick up
DOH!! Decided to take my phone charger too, altho I wasn’t planning on using it much.
Got to my mum and dads around 2am, and everyone was up and ready! Made our way over to East Midlands Airport, and my dad parked up in front of the long-stay and we made our way into the departure terminal. There were a few bodies from a Stag-party scattered out on the floor, and we made sure we were one of the first in the line for the Easyjet check-in when it opened at what-ever it was, I just simply cant remember! Luckily enough we were in the first 30 odd people, so became Boarding Class A
Which meant apart from the Speedy Boarding and Special Class we had priority over the rest of the people. I managed to nick the window seat from Lardy jnr (Our Stef). The flight was pleasant enough and lasted about 2 and a half hours. We stepped off the plane. and it was lovely. A nice wall of warm air breezed into the airplane, and the sun was shining :D We made our way through Passport Control and waited for our luggage. Lardy jnr (a.k.a. the apprentice) bet my dad Lardy snr £10 or was it €10 that his would be the first bag out, but unfortunatley it was the second bag out, to which he then tried to change it to “first one of our bags to come out” but father was having non of it. Took atleast half an hour before my mothers case appeared  Gotta admit, having a Suitcase with Mini-Marquees printing on it certainly has its advantages when waiting at the Luggage Carousel
Went and picked up the hire car, a nice Alfa 147 diesel, and then made our way onto the Spanish highways! Jesus H Christ, it scared the hell out of me, and I instantly decided AGAINST driving during the week, which kinda put pressure on my dad to be a taxi, which in a way was unfair, as he couldnt drink during the day then :( Think it was about half an hour drive from the airport, and we arrived at the resort, or at the entrance! Took another half an hour of driving round the massive Urb. Mijas Golf till we found the reception  Once we’d checked in, we had till 4pm to wait to get into the appartment, so we chilled by the big pool for a bit, we had a lovely meal in this restaurant just off the resort, where I had Chicken in this lovely Mediterranean sauce, which was fantastic! Before heading into Fuengirola to get some bits and pieces to start us off. We then just chilled out in the appartment and watched the Euro game, which was Spain vs Sweden. That was kinda the theme for the week, We’d go out when it started cooling down a bit, i.e. 4pm, and then we’d have something to eat, having spent the morning in the sun by the shared pool. In the first 3 days, I managed to get through 3 books!! One was a true story bout a Sniper regiment in Iraq a few years ago, and that night I flicked onto this Andy McNab program on BBC3 or something, and they had video footage, and were chatting to the very same lads I’d been reading about! How lucky was that
The one day I decided against going for one of the afternoon was the day my mum and dad went to Puerto Banús, Home to such shops as Jimmy Choo, D&G, you name it! Also in the Marina were some of the largest boats, and driving around were Lamborghini’s, Ferrari’s, Porsche’s etc! I was so gutted. When we went to Marbella I was expecting something similar, but it was cheap and tacky in comparission  One of the highlights for our Stef was some random Spanish Gypsy woman grabbing my arm in Benalmadena, and giving me my fortune in Spanish! I was just stood there thinking WTF, as she had hold of my arm, and gave me some random smelling branch! Then she wanted bloody money off me, and when I got my wallet out, pointed at a €20 note! not on your fucking Nelly!!! So I gave her €2 and told her to be on her way

Also my dad and our stef have great pleasure in winding each other up, calling each other Lardy, so me and my mum upset them both one day calling them Lardy and his apprentice
That didnt go down too well. Anyway my dad was looking for a new hat most of the holiday, and when in Benaldemena, he tried one on, which the Spanish women suddenly said “You have big head” Well that was it! our Stef was pissing himself, and calling my dad “Big Head” That and the fact the hat he tried on looked like something Indiana Jones would wear, meant I came out with “It’s Indiana Jones and the Lard Crusade, which then prompted my mum and Stef to come out with some too HAHAHA! All good clean fun. Also with our Stef helping Malc out at the minute with his Bin Cleaning, we noticed the state of the bins over there, and so asked if he fancied starting up his own bin cleaning company in Spain, as he’s make a killing! Would no doubt be something our Malc would think about, if it meant making a quick buck or two.
Was woken up at 3am on the day we were heading back by the bloody bin-men, who it appears work during the night when it’s cooler, and then I struggled to get back to sleep, So it wasn’t too long before it was 6am. JUST as my alarm was starting up, my mum knocked on the door, and told us it was time to get up! How random. Not long later, and we were on our way to the airport for the flight home. somehow I ended up as Boarding Class B, so had to wait to get on the plane, whilst the other 3 scampered onto the plane. Walked through the door, to notice the 3 of them had plonked themselves on the first row of the plane! Result. There was a seat behind our Stef, so I took that, and sat next to this old couple who were quite pleasant, and chatted for a bit. There was a very fit stewardess who was working on the front of the plane, and I think my uglier brother put her off midway through the safety speech  Bout 2 hours 20 minutes later, and we were landing at East Midlands Airport, and it was bloody raining, and freezing! Knew I should have worn more than a t-shirt and 3/4 length bottoms to come back home
Few pics from holiday. Rest can be found here
Got back to my housebout 3ish, after spending an hour at my mum and dads, cos our Heather had nipped round to see us. From there I started to un-pack, but to be honest couldn’t be arsed, so fired up the computer and messed about on the internet for a bit, checking through thousands of spam emails through my various accounts, and having a look on facebook, to see if anyone wanted to add me, or had deleted me for some reason or another :P Later in the evening I decided to order a pizza, and get a bottle of coke, and chill out and watch the Russia vs Holland game, and then the Amir Khan fight with a few steady Amaretto and Cokes with a pizza, but bout 7 that all changed!! John came on msn, asking if I was out or not. With Bagi being at a wedding and not allowed out to play only joking Carla :P I decided after mulling over the decision for about 5 minutes to get myself out and about. Picked Day up on the way to the Badger, along with John and Dougie. John looked on in horror to see I was wearing my waistcoat, and he almost went home to change OUT of his  Orwin and Matt were already in there, and we ended up staying till pretty much the final whistle had gone in extra time of the Holland game. Even funnier was the fact that Dan normally goes out in his waistcoat too, so John threatened to go home and change if he did, and told me not to stand near him  Parked the car up in the usual spot, and headed over to Wetherspoons. After watching the Khan fight, and having had 2 or 3 cokes in there, they all decided to move on to Cheekies, but I couldnt keep my eyes open by then, and so I headed off home.
Got up Sunday morning bout half 9 and got myself ready to go football training with the bunch of reprabates from last season. To start with we did 2 laps of the athletics track, and I thought it wouldnt be too bad, but literally crawled over the line at the end
Gongo had us doing some corner drills, but it was too windy, so not long after that we tried some one-on-ones defence vs attack and that was a laugh. Then into a game of pretty much defence vs attack with a 3-touch rule implied. Was a good game. Nipped round to my mum and dads, and our Lewi appeared with our Owen, so played with some of his Jigsaws with him, and he showed me his new shoes and things. Also he told me mummy had bought him a new lunch box, so he can take sandwiches and apples to nursery with him, he’s growing up too fast :D Before heading off home shattered. Was when I got home, and I took my training top off, that I noticed I’d ermm slightly caugh the sun on both my shoulders! OUCH!! Was pretty painful. Specially when I jumped in a red hot bath! When will I learn people!! Basically chilled out for the rest of the evening, ahead of returning to work on the Monday morning BOOOOOOO!!!
Work wasn’t half as bad as I thought. Seems Zoe did quite a good job last week, like I told her she would, despite her worst fears about Geoffrey going off on one every 5 minutes cos she got something wrong! When will people listen to me when I say I have faith in their ability to do something
Tonight was the first night back at the gym for 2 weeks. It’s safe to say that I cant feel my arms :( Must have been a good workout! Altho I was busy perving over this fit lass, with the perfect ass in the gym, so tried to do a little too much I think, which had John chuckling to himself.  *Mental Note to self* KEEP GOING WHEN JOHN’S ON HOLIDAY, OR IT’LL BE JUST AS BAD * end Mental Note to self*
