… TO BAGI HAHAHAHA

Many thanks to Kirsty for sending me these priceless photos of Mr Bagi  all be it 6 years ago.  Notice the t-shirt in the old photos compared to the one i’ve copied from my wall of shame HAHAHA

Nice shirt bagi! Nice to see it still fits that conisiderable frame of yours ;)

Hmmm More good luck??

Thursday, June 26th, 2008

Right so a few folks who know me well enough will know that I am crap with money, and almost everytime I go out I drive, as it’s the cheapest option by far.  Turn out I’ve been paying for House Insurance for the last 16 months, when I thought I’d cancelled it    This has only come to light after John has passed on a letter from Pam and Andy’s which turns out to be my House Insurance Renewal notice! So got through the the cancellations department, and explained that Rebecca no longer lives at the covered address, and I had no idea I was still paying for this, AS THEY DIDNT SEND THE DOCUMENTS TO MY ADDRESS!!!  Anyway the bloke was fine about it, after I said when I remortgaged Jan of last year, I  was pretty sure I’d cancelled the policy, but couldn’t be 100% sure.  He gave me a number for their customer services department, and said sometimes if you can prove you’ve had alternative cover for that time, I COULD get a refund! not holding my breath but fingers crossed anyway :)

Olstar has a lot to answer for! I was on his blog over HERE and saw that he was playing the “Orange Balloon Game”  Not fully sure how it works, but he’s got me addicted to following his balloon around the internet    You can find his balloon HERE so if anyone would like to see what site his balloon is hovering over at the minute click on it, and then give himm a boost.  Go on you know you want to ;)

And now in other news… Since monday night i’ve been aching like a mother fucker  I’ve suddenly decided on a high protein diet consisting mainly of loads of tuna, the odd roast chicken cob when Geoffrey goes out for his walkies, and a protein shake or 2 :D   Gym has been going well, altho for some reason I’m not sleeping properly again, which may result in more aching than normal!  Last night I was chatting to Wayniac and my great lady friend Kay ;) , when Jeff came on and asked if I still had the teg cos his mate was interested in a JDM spec one! This could just be the little break of luck I’ve been after for a while now, so we’ll see what happens there.  Maybe the little spanish gypsy woman who grabbed me in Benaldemena has given me some good luck! ONly time can tell :D

How annoying was the bloody football last night! There is nothing worse than having a delay in the commentary and the video! Fair play nothing could be done about the thunder storms over in Vienna, but having to listen to the pair of them waffle on through 5 Live, with me hearing what I’m about to see i.e. “Shot from Ballack” followed bout a second later by yeah you guessed it a shot by Ballack    Typical to see the Germans in the final again tho, even tho Turkey players had the games of their lives, with having only 14 fit players and a sub goalkeeper

Unique Carrier Pigeon

Wednesday, June 25th, 2008

I get daily emails from Reuters about their odd headlines, and this one made me chuckle, as until they got caught out it was a genius plan!!

RIO DE JANEIRO (Reuters) – A sharp increase in drugs and cellphones found inside a Brazilian prison mystified officials — until guards spotted some distressed pigeons struggling to stay airborne.

Inmates at the prison in Marilia, Sao Paulo state had been training carrier pigeons to smuggle in goods using cell phone sized pouches on their backs, a low-tech but ingenious way of skipping the high-tech security that visitors faced.

“We have sophisticated equipment to search people when they go in, but they avoided this by finding another way to bring in cellphones and drugs,” prison director Luciano Gamateli told Globo TV.

Officials said the pigeons, bred and trained inside the prison, lived on the jail’s roof, where prisoners would take their deliveries before smuggling the birds out again through friends and family.

The scheme was uncovered when guards on the prison walls saw some pigeons struggling to fly.

Brazil’s overcrowded prisons have notoriously lax security, with cell-phone and drug use common among inmates. Two years ago, a powerful Sao Paulo prison gang used cell-phones to orchestrate a wave of attacks against police and public property.

Now what an genius way to use the pigeons.  I think maybe some people got a bit greedy, wanting too much smuggled in at any one time! I wonder how long they’ve been doing this

Maddsys new cup

Tuesday, June 24th, 2008

Decided to buy maddsy a new present… Due to his inability to keep the hot drink I BOUGHT HIM in the cup, resulting in it going all over his paperwork and desk

Ouch – That hurt

Tuesday, June 24th, 2008

I still cant feel my arms properly    Wasn’t that gruelling a session either.  Altho having sun-burnt shoulders didnt help much I suppose    Or trying to push myself in only the first session back after a 2 week break for John to have his eyes done, and also me to be on holiday.  Added to the fact there was a drop dead gorgeous lass in there, and your’s truly was trying NOT to look too stupid, but almost ended up with a blueberry coloured face, as I was trying to lift a similar weight to that I was lifting before the break, and my triceps suddeny decoded to lock.  Me trying to do some dips was just comical.  Then doing our stomach routine, I suddenly felt VERY light-headed.  Tonight I’m gonna take it bloody easy.

Had a bit of a catch up through text messaging with an old friend, whom I hadn’t spoken to for a few weeks, as she was preparing for exams and that.  Turns out she’s STILL preparing for the same exams, but me and Lizzie are determined to have a nice catch up once she’s finished them :D

Coulnd not get to sleep last night.  Think it was party due to all the adrenaline pumping round from the gym, even tho I was knackered as hell.  I ended up watching Old School till bout 3 this morning, then I think I managed to nod off for 2 hours, before a van parked outside my open window woke me up! :(

The last week in my own words.

Monday, June 23rd, 2008

Well! What started as a social pint or two in a pub on Wednesday night when it was being organised, turned into a full blown Thursday night session in Mansfield!! So after meeting up with Mr Bagi and Wayniac in the Swan, Sweeney popped down for a bit, and what we thought was gonna be a few jars in town ended up with me and Dan in Liquid till bout half 1, then via Subway he dropped me off home, feeling just a little bladdered  Was going all to plan, a 2 or 3 beers in the Swan, and then off to Romans, where we had another 2 beers. By this time Dan had met up with us and was driving into town. We then headed over to Wetherspoons where the Jaegermeister and Red Bulls started (after having one neat in an earlier pub :D ) Then into Cheekys, and then Liquid, where it was free to get in if I remember rightly :? After a few drinks in there, and me and Sweeney owning the dancefloor, they left, and me and Dan stayed in there till bout half 1, when via a trip to subway, I got a lift home.

Will do a big update blog as soon as I get the chance. Meanwhile…

I’ve managed to avoid sunburn for a whole week whilst I’ve been sat under clear blue skies, with little breeze and a temperature of around 30 degrees all day… Get back saturday, go pre-season training on Sunday, with murky skies at best, with a little sun, and an awful wind and about 18 degrees at best, and I’ve gone and got sun-burn on my bloody shoulders

WHAT AN IDIOT!!!

Quick update

Wednesday, June 11th, 2008

So thats the first round of EURO 2008 matches out of the way, and I’ll say that I’ve seen the majority of the football  and have been very impressed with some of the football I’ve seen. kinda gutted I go away this saturday, as our pre-season training is about to start, and I miss having a joke arsing about with the lads. MOST have a decent sense of humour, altho Gongo takes it all far too serious at times! Anyone would think we were in one of the top divisons rather than bottom of Division 5  That was one of the reasons I left Potters, because I wanted to play football for a laugh on Sunday mornings.

Still gonna go with my first pick, and say Spain. Think they’re due a good tournament, and from their first game they look in great shape. I know history says they normally start like a house on fire, and then fall away just after the group stages, but if they can keep David Villa and Fernando Torres fit then they’ve got the creative midfield to cause anyone problems. Obviously the Germans being their efficient selves will appear in the semis at a minimum.

This week after work I’ve just been chilling out and watching the football if I’m honest. Decided against going to the gym, as I doubt it’d do much ahead of my holiday, so I’ve mainly been sorting a few bits together ready for my packing! Really can’t wait, and I’ve been researching the best bars over in Fuengirola ready :D

Looking to go out tomorrow night for a drink or two with Wayniac and Bagi, as it’s Wayniacs birthday on Monday and with me not being here, decided to go for a few steady ones somewhere like the Junction or something :D
