So friday came and went at work, and it was tiring as per usual, listening to certain people whining all the time and that!
Managed to get through the day, altho there are no flapjacks left in the machine!!! So god knows how I’ll be coping if the woman dont come and sort the machine out this morning!! A man needs his flapjacks to survive
Nipped home and got changed ready for football. Unfortunately it had decided to rain, even tho Wendy had promised me that the rain would miss us. Was a good turn out, and once again Smithy, Teddy and Tom seemed to be in their element. Do enjoy playing football on friday nights again, altho it’s not on next week due to Modified Nationals Booooooo!!!
Got a knock on the door bout an hour after getting in from football, and wondered why the hell welly would be knocking at my door
Then it became known… I’d left my lights on! For some reason the annoying beep to alert me to the fact decided not to work! Battery = FLAT!!! Grrrrrrr
Got up earlier then I wanted saturday and walked it to work. Was quite nice to be honest. Very little breeze or anything, but still annoying non the less when you’ve got a perfectly good car sat at home (well apart from the battery that is
) Good old Carol sorted me out with a Sausage and Eggcob which went down wonderfully with a coffee from the vending machine, and then I managed to rattle off a load of artwork. didnt stay as long as normal cos Karl had offered me a lift home to try and sort my battery out! Mark nipped in and Carol kicked off at him for a private joke that seems to be long running between management so we’ll leave them to it!
Karl gave me a lift home, and we tried to sort my battery out using his battery thing that works from the fag lighter, but after bout 10 minutes of nothing, we decided to nip and get some jump-leads as it’d be much much easier
Headed up to Asda, but they didnt have any, and upon walking out I thought I recognised someone, and it wasn’t till they’d got near and waved at me that I realised it was Blaine’s missus Em. Bit random to see her in them neck of the woods, but we carried onto the Garage near Garibaldi School, and our luck was in! Last box
Few moments later and the car was firing up again, so I left it running whilst I got some bits together, and then headed over to my mum and dads for an hour before heading over to Gossips for my haircut. From there I had decided to make use of my saturday afternoon, and the fact I was out and about and headed over to the gym. Spent a good 45 minutes on the treadmill, alternating between a nice jogging pace for 5 minutes, then a quick print for 5 minutes, and it felt bloody good for a bit once I’d done. Emily decided she was gonna follow me, and I bumped into her just as I was leaving the gym, so we had a bit of a chat before I headed off to catch the 2nd half of the FA Cup Final. first time I’d not really been that interested in the FA Cup final for quite some time, and I thought from the 2nd half, Cardiff could have deserved something from the game, but they just didnt make David James work in the Pompey goal, so guess they got what they deserved in the end (if that makes sense
) Saturday night was spent chatting to Lucy on msn and watching a few films, including GI Jane, and Commando on channel 4
Woke up sunday bout 11ish, and headed to put some petrol in the car, and take the car through the car wash for once, and then headed over to my mums for some dinner. Our Lewi brought Owen up for a bit, so we played with some of his jigsaws and his impressive amount of cars till I’d had my dinner and decided to head off home to lounge about for the rest of the day. Sat chatting to Lucy on msn, whilst she was errmmm busy revising
and watched Scorpion King, whilst waiting for 9pm, with the return of Ultimate Force! God what a quality program. LOVE IT!!
The Celtic fan in me (yeah he’s still here hidden, despite not HAVING to support them now
) was quite hapy to see that Rangers have almost thrown away the league title! Was only a few weeks ago they headed into an Old Firm double header a good few points clear, and victory in one of them would have seen them have an almost unassailable lead at the top of the SPL, but Celtic have kept their flowing football going, and managed to turn it around, so with Rangers having 2 games left, they’re 3 points behind with a goal difference of -7 on Celtic!! Looks like Thursday night is gonna be a great evening!! Altho I remember seeing Rangers snatch the title from Celtic’s grasp twice in recent years, so we will see what happens ![]()
