Our Lewi phoned me earlier, and said Malc had got him to ring me, to ask when England hop over the channel to play the French in their own backyard.  Turns out it’s a midweek game on 26th March.  He also asked if I fancied going to the game with him, Malc and Jez.  We;d prob get a cheap flight over there, and then stay in a cheap hotel for a night or two, then back home.  Will have to see what happens (possibly nothing  )

I wonder if DJB managed to get back to Cyprus

Was chatting to him the other day and he said he was hoping to take a monopoly box full of wires and things, that he’d been given during his week or two back over here, and he was gonna try and take that and his Wii through as his hand luggage!  Also he was tempted to go upto Liverpool to see some folks, and imagined that he’d miss his flight by waking up in a muddy riverbed or something HAHAHA

Went over to Tesco mid afternoon to get myself some beer for the house party at Phil and Helens, and found myself buying another DVD Box-set  This time I bought Rush Hour 1-3. Love the first 2, and wanted to watch the 3rd since I saw an advert for it when it was out at the cinema. Bought myself 2 cases of Budweiser, and made my way home to chill out, and watch Rush Hour 3.

Watched the film, and then had a nice long soak in the bath, did a bit of tidying and then headed over to Phil and Helens. As last new years eve, I ended up missing the turn in i needed, even WITH sat nav this time  Shouldnt have been singing along to the music which was turned up, so much so I couldnt hear the dreary voice on the sat nav HAHAHA. Arrived at my destination same time as Miss Bedford, Nez and Ellie, and just as I’d walked through the door Fee tried to ring me to see where I was. Was nice to see some of the folks who came round including Alanman and Claire, Carl and Cindy, Tibbzy and Kerry and even a visit from Spener  Fee left early cos she was full of a cold just like last year. Cammy the boy genius was doing his best to try and beat Liam on the Buzz games, and we were treated to Helen and her sister dancing and singing along to Take That just before the countdown to the New Year. Winnie was one well behaved dog all night, and it was great to sit down and chat with some of the folks I aint seen for a while.

New Years Day I went over to my mum and dads for dinner, the same idea was had by Heather and Mike, plus the fact they’d left their car there New Years Eve  Watched some football then came home and chilled out. Since the New Year I aint been upto too much. Had Meatball pop round for a chat which was splendid. Had a session in the gym, and sorted myself out financially, so I am a bit better off now. Nipped into town friday to pay a bit of money in, and tried to find my dad The Fifth Element to put on his IPOD for his pending trip to the states on the 16th Jan for a few days. Saw this film advertised on the telly the other day, which said “Goodfellas comes to Essex” and was called Rise of the Footsoldier. bought it, and my god what a film. I fucking loved it, apart from one or two scenes of torture  Had seen a film in the past staring Sean Bean called Essex Boys, about some gangland figures who were running riot in Essex, which led to their murders. This story is from the same true story, but told from someone else. I defo recommend it for anyone who loves british films as well as gansta flicks. Friday Night I went to football, and it pissed it down, and I threw in a wiggy diving header just for my mat Troy  and then went over to see my mum and dad for a bit.

Saturday was a day of chilling again, and I found myself lost in my new Godfather game on the Xbox  I went on it from bout 10am and think I came off it at about 8pm  Found myself ordering a pizza and sat and watched “The Ex” which stars JD from Scrubs, and I found amusing in parts, and then Match of the Day. FA CUP 3rd round weekend is always great, and its quality to see Mansfield had reached this far! Could they continue their march by beating Brighton away… HELL YEAH!! Beat them 2-1 and have their name in the hat for the 4th round. Shame that Newcastle played so poorly against Stoke, or should I say that stoke really did seem up for the game, but I suppose we’re still in the 4th round draw, albeit with a replay to come at St James’s Park.

Today was League cup 1/4 final day. Played up on King George V playing fields in Berry Hill, against AB Waste. Once we were out on the pitch I recognised James Walker, who I went to school with, and also Dev plays for them. Ended up marking Wak for the majority of the game. Went in at half time 3-0 up, and knew it’d be hard playing slightly up-hill with the wind somewhat against us, and a keeper who was injured, and we ended up finding ourselves 4-3 down with a few minutes to go. I’ll hold my head up to one of the goals, where Wak beat me in the air, but we must have one of the smallest defences ever to play sunday morning football  So we just have to get on with it. I was bemused to see maddsy get taken off, as I thought he was having a good game in the middle, but Brad obviously wanted to change things. We got a goal back in the dying stages, and it ended up going into extra time. NIGHTMARE! Anyway they went along and scored a 5th in extra time, and we bowed out 5-4 against a team from the division above, who aint doing too bad this season. I’ve ended up coming out of the game with a lump and bruise on my left knee, my right knee is sore, and also I took a knee to the back which is sore! My body’s sure fire way of telling me to stop playing football

Went round to my mum and dads after for some dinner, and our Lew and Stef were in, so me and Lewi started picking on our Stef for once, and my mum asked if he enjoyed having his two big brothers come to see him hahaha! Watched the football, and our Owen came round for the afternoon, and it was great to see him play with the present I bought him for christmas, altho its Bob’s workshop, Owen has now turned it into a garage  My dad sorted some batteries out for the workshop, and now the drill and wall mounted saw move and have sound, and our Owen now loves “fixing his cars” using the drill and things! Kids are brill. Tonight I’ve had a nice relaxing bath, and am settling down to watch Gladiator, before heading back to work. God I wish I was James Bond… Just for the Day!! kissing all the girls and blow the bad guys away :D Thinking it may be time for a career change :?

My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions, loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next. - God I love that line

Other random news… Had a text the other day from Maddsy, asking wether or not Kill Bill was a film he should let his kids watch :? Now I’d personally let them watch it, IF i fancied not waking up next morning, cos Jessica or Dylan had decided to pick up the biggest knife in the draw, and slice and dice me

Also decided that rather than try and sort out Sheffield or something for my birthday, I’m gonna settle for good old Mansfield! Baring in mind it’s Valentines day the day after my birthday, so most people wont be able to afford too much, so most people are welcome down Mansfield on 16th Feb :D
