From Theatre of Dreams to Theatre of Nightmares in 7 days haha

Friday night I decided to go over to Manor and partake in an hours footballing festivities with a few others. Was a good run-about, and always nice to chop down Smithy and a few others  Somehow we’d missed all the rain too! It seemed to have rained for the best part of the afternoon, but when we got to Manor it stopped, only to start again once we’d finished! Pretty random weather shown again. Nipped over to see my mother after football, and she decided to go shopping instead, cos i’d not been round earlier  So found myself sat round there watching telly for a bit till she got back. Had a bit of a chat with her once she’d returned, decided that we’d go to McArthur Glen in the morning, and I nicked the sit-up bench, and then made my way home. Chilled out at home watching telly for a bit, then feeling rather tired called it a night.

Got up nice and early, and went to pick my mother up. Have a nosey round some of the shops, and bought myself a few new shirts and hats and things, and then met my mum in Starbucks for a nice Caramel Machiatto :D and then we headed off back to hers, where I had a bite to eat and shower before heading off into town to take in the Stags match. Got down early, and parked up, and had a wander round the stags club-cabin and Sainsbury’s, and then returned to my car with a program waiting for Lee and his dad to arrive.

Once outside the ground, I saw Ryans dad, so had a bit of a chat to him, and then saw the main man on his way to meet his pops. Quick High-5 and a “You’re only here to get a ticket for the big game Tig” and we went our separate ways and went to watch the game. Once in our seat before kick-off I looked down and saw a happy couple sat together. Not sure if they were holding hands, but Moorey and Bradshaw looked very cosey sat together  Rang Moorey and gave him a bit of abuse, before getting bored of his voice and thus hanging up. Few texts started to fly between us then, and in the end I got bored, and text Becca instead
The game as a whole was dire! Mansfield had very few chances, and those they had they wasted, and a stupid decision in the penalty are by Martin, who thought it’d be funny to drag their player down to the floor when a corner was being swung in, thus giving away a penalty, which was duly despatched, leading to the stags losing yet again by a goal to nil!! :|

Was gonna watch Keegan’s return at my mums, but by the time we’d gotten out of the ground, I’d have missed the kick-off, so headed home instead for a nice take-away and a few brews to wash it down with. The atmosphere before the game seemed electric, and I’d have loved to have been there, but the game as a whole was a bit of a let down. The side looked tired and devoid of ideas, which being in mins they played 60 minutes on wednesday with 10 men, and still beat Stoke 4-1, and there were the best part of 10 players either suspended, injured or away on African Cup of Nations duty, we managed to keep a clean sheet, which is promising, and I’m sure the swash-buckling football we came to adore from the Toon in the mid 90’s MAY return! With only really Man Utd and Arsenal capable of playing such a way, it’ll be interesting to say the least to see what happens :) Chilled out for the rest of saturday night watching Anchorman, and half of Match of the Day, before I gave up trying to watch it, as the telly was just a green blur

Shocking news about Sunday morning… WE DIDNT LOSE!! Oh wait thats cos our game was called off, but we’d have more than likely lost anyway  I was tempted to go to the gym, but by the time i’d woken up it was ha;f 11, and I’d told my mum I was going round for dinner, as she’d still have our Owen. Ended up being dragged into playing with his Hot Wheelz car and the tunnel him and my mum had made with his books  Hours of entertainment there I can tell you haha! Wasn’t long after dinner that I decided I was gonna head home and have a bath and chill out cos I was feeling knackered, and remembered Phil had invited me over to the Rushley for a drink or two. Bagi was sending me texts from his PSP, and in the end after sending the same message twice, saying him and Moorey were going out for a few socials on Thursday, and did I fancy joining them, he got me to ring him. We ended up chatting about alsorts for best part of an hour and a quarter :? We put the world to rights like a bunch of women on the phone  Alot of it was football orientated about this season and where we think we’ve gone wrong, and how great me and him have been playing etc etc  And all the teams we’ve played for, and the fact I think i’ve played against Bagi for about 4 different teams through the 12 years I’ve been playing Sunday morning football! Except for the 2 year sabbatical that was called my previous relationship, when I sacrificed my enjoyment of football to be with her  The sacrifices some of us make for women haha! Decided to enjoy my football whilst I can, cos if I’m honest I cant see me lasting too many more years! My knee’s and ankles have defo seen better days   and it wouldn’t surprise me should I need an operation in my later years

Got there bout half 7, and Tibbzy was busy winning money on the bandit, so stood chatting to him, before the others decided to show up! Got the typical “Bloody hell what you doing out” malarky from Fee  Saw Lee and Vicky, but they were eating, so decided not to interrupt them, but said hello as I walked past to the bar. Not long before 10 we decided to call it a night, and I came home to watch the remainder of the AFC championship game between New England Patriots and the San Diego Chargers, for a place in the SuperBowl. In the end New England came through, and their record this season now reads 18-0! First team ever to go 18-0 in a season, altho from what I’ve read the league was extended with the addition of a few teams, but it’s still an impressive record

Work was OK today, managed to get the majority of this weeks artwork sorted out already, so it’s just a case of printing it, and tonight I’ve decided to have a bit of a tidy up at home! Starting with my bedroom, which was a bit of a mess! Ended up with a big bag of clothes that aint too old, but I’ve kinda grown out of through the gym and becoming a fat bastard, due to too much trifle and shit ;)  And I’ll take them to my mums, and let our Lewi have a look through, and see if there is anything in there worth having for knocking around at work in, specially as he ends up getting paint down himself more than the walls
