Right.. Lets start at the beginning, which I feel is as good a place as any! Altho the weekend just seemed to get better and better (untill sunday afternoon/night anyway).
Friday afternoon at work was so very very quiet, as Geoffrey had gone at dinner to use up one of his half days and that, and I honestly dont think the phone rang at all in the afternoon, apart from about 4:45, when someone wanted a design & quote re-emailing down to him
Asked Phil if he was gonna go to friday night football, but he said he was having a quiet one at his house with Jay and one or two others, and I was more than welcome to go over and join them, but I was expecting my sister to come over and see me, so told him I’d see him sat evening all married up and that
Got a phone call from our Lewi asking wether I could lend him £20 so he can pay Sarah Owens maintenance, cos she was going on at him, and promised to give me atleast £50 on the saturday once he’d been paid for the job he was doing. so went over, and ended up giving him a lift over to Sarahs. Thought whilst I was in the area, I may as well go visit my sister as well, as she moans I never go round, and thus saving them the hassel of coming over to see me once Mike had finished work. Once I got hom I ordered myself a Domino’s pizza and chilled for the rest of the night, watching wrestling among other things
Woke up with great anticipation saturday morning, cos not only was it Phil and Helens wedding day, but it was the day where Newcastle go visit the Stadium of Shite, situated 12 miles south of us in the “Village of the Damned” Sat watching Soccer AM, and as is usually the case when Newcastle are live on telly I started to get a little nervous to say the least! (obv not half as nervous as Phil and Helen would have been feeling at that point
) 12:45 came round, and it was time for the kick-off! I was not surprised to see the game go at 100 miles an hour at the start, and there was no real football being played, with players losing possession too easily, and at the end of the first half I’d say that the scum were the better side! As much as it pains me to say! And they went into the lead at the start of the 2nd half! Thats when I started thinking the worst, but we reponded quite well, and James Milner ended up curling a cross/shot into the bottom corner to the relief of Mike Ashley who was sat with the Newcastle fans with his Smith shirt on
Think 1-1 was a fair result, and we seemed more than happy to come away with a point. I always knew the scum would be up for it, and in our faces. We got that bit of luck, when Old boy Chopra hit the bar with a header, that bounced out *phheewww*
3 O’clock came and the stags kicked-off their FA Cup campaign at home to Lewes. Didnt really follow the score, cos altho this is a game the Stags were certain to win, they always seem to fuck-up when it’s least expected
Got a phone call from our Lewi who was heading over my way with some money, and wondered if I could pick him up en-route and give him a lift home. Got home afterwards to see the Stags were 3-0 up and cruising into the 2nd round of the FA Cup! Result. Nipped to the shop to get a few beers to sink whist getting ready for the nights festivities. Vicky had decided that she was gonna drive down, and so offered me a lift to the reception. Remembered that I hadnt got the happy couple a card, i nipped up to asda and got a bit of money out to put in it
Once ready I sat and chilled waiting for Vicky to come pick me up. Got to Portland Hall and as if by magic we were greeted by Helen and Fee who had nipped outside for a fag, and then phil came out too looking quite dapper may I admit! Helen looked amazing too
Got inside and a few mates were already there, and they just seemed to keep on coming
As appears to be the custom at these wedding things.. I bought Phil and Helen a drink, and for some reason not long after Liam decided he was gonna pick on me! This included a blow to the back of the Kidneys, which stung for a few seconds, and he also kicked me, which I went to block, only to bend my finger the wrong way! That hurt like a bugger, and still stings now! Not long after we were alerted to some cows in the car-park, so Me, Olly, Ollie and HSB decided to stroll out and have a look with Olly being “A professional Cow-Herderer”
Ant made a brief appearance, cos he wasn’t feeling too good, and it showed ha ha! there is a video of Phil and Helen dancing HERE
I was caught dancing to “Saturday Night” by Wardo and a few others, altho I’m hoping no actual video/photographic evidence appears ha ha ha! Cant remember what time it was, but Johns brother came to give me and John a lift into town, and Caz a lift home. John got us a queue jump into QI and we headed straight to the upstairs bar. John bumped into loads of people he knows, and I wasn’t too surprised to see Ryan walking round in QI as per last week
Ended up dancing after a JD and Coke, and also a Vodka and Coke! Hmmm I only got a JD and coke cos thats what John wanted, so decided to get 2
How my mind works when drunk is beyond me ha ha. Ended up taking a few random photos of some of these lasses who happened to be on the dancefloor
Left QI bout 2:45 and started the short walk home.
Few random lasses
