Fun at the gym..

Last night I got home from work, and watched the 2 episodes of Prison Break that i’d missed for some reason or another, and an left waiting… WANTING to see the rest! God damn it! Give me them all now   I wont spoil it for my big Prison Break fan Olly by saying anything on here, cos I dont know if he’ll read this before watching the episodes.  Once I’d finished I text Ol to see if he was in, and then headed over to his house with the 2 episodes so he could watch them with Gemma.  I really cant remember the last time that me and Ol were able to sit down, and just chat.  We used to do it all the time when he worked at our place, chatting about this and that over a Creamichoc ;) (Of which he still owes me one or two)  Was nice to see Gemma too, altho she seemed to be doing most of the housework whilst I was there chatting to Ol

Ol got a text about a meeting he’d completley forgotten about, and so as I had nothing to do I agve him a lift down to the Rushley, and then headed down to ED for 5 minutes to see if anyone was out.  Had a chat to Vicky, and Lizzie had nipped down, so had a quick chat to her before having to make my excuses and head off to the gym.  But I think we’re going for a drink next week, once all her exams are out the way for a bit, so we can have a proper catch-up which should be nice :)

Got to the gym bout 8.30, and as John wasn’t there did the usual workout on the legs, then weighed myself… 11 stone 7 1/2  Not sure if i’ve ever weighed that before.  Was shoulder night last night, and I joked to John about taking it up to the next level once again, so on the first machine I started on weight 9.. eased through that one, then tried 10, made it through ok, so used 11 for the last set! Which I managed to get through baring in mind I think each weight is 25lbs or sommat, I was quite impressed, as was John.  He was pacing about mumbling about how the scales were wrong, as he’d gained 4lbs in a few days, and that his hoodie must weight 4lbs   I tried the scales, and got 11 Stone 4lbs :? In half an hour I’d lost 3 1/2 lbs.  Once we’d done our workout, John was trying some new exercises he’d seen in Mens Fitness magazine, and they may well work for the abs, but he found a better once by chance! He was laid out over one of the gym balls, and he started losing his balance! Then soon realised that with a medicine ball above his head, it worked out quite a fun exercise, which beats plain old sit-ups, as it was working ALL the stomach exercises :D  Safe to say when Caz walked in, and I fell off the ball  She just had that look that said “You idiots”

Its now been 6 months almost solid at the gym, and I’d like to think I can see the physical benefits, as much as I can feel them in the gym!  Seem to have stepped up quite a bit regarding the weights i’ve been lifting, so it’s all gravy :D

Got home, and had a mess about on facebook, looking for more old people from my past that I seem to have forgotten about / neglected mainly through stopping my recreational activities due to certain things.  Yesterday was texting Ant, and he’s well up for going out round Derby with Lee when he’s back from Bahrain, and I was trying to help piece bits of his memory, as he was wasted saturday night, and dont seem to remember much

I use the excercise ball when I do pilates.
It takes some getting used to getting your balance enough to do a decent pushup, keep your legs straight out behind you too and point your toes. I also do an exercise where I balance on the ball with my stomach over the ball, and hands Off the floor then Bring my feet off the floor slowly and balance whilst stretching my hand and feet as far apart as possible. a bit like your on a rack being pulled.
It kills your stomach muscles but works quite well. Helps with your co-ordination

yeah me and john seem to make it up as we go along! I found laying on it, with your feet on the floor, and trying to get your hands on the floor, then rolling about from side to side is mint for the stomach :D
