It’s been a long time since I had a proper holiday! Not including the one I went on thanks to my mum and dad when we went with our Stef to Spain last year just so I could get away from things. Last proper holiday abroad was in Portugal and that was September of 2005 I think it was! Well I’m not including the weekend away with the lads to Bratislava as a proper holiday!! Time before that I was 18 or 19 when the Rainworth lads went to Kavos and had an awesome time. Anyway I’ve decided to put down the few places that I’m dreaming of visiting during my time on this planet (until commercial space travel, when we’re able to go live on the moon) some of these holidays I’ve dreamed of going for as long as I can remember.

I’d love to be able to just pack a case, hop on a plane and have no worries about the next 3/4 weeks as I drive slowly across America down the old Route 66. No idEA how my fascination with doing this came about, maybe it’s due to watching the Cannonball run films as a kid, but it’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long time.

Maybe it’s the old romantic in me but I think this would possibly be the best way to spend Christmas! Skating in Central Park with that special lady and doing the things that you see on all the films, apart from Home Alone 2!
-
From the cold of a winter in New York, to the Southern Hemisphere, and spending an Aussie summer down in Sydney. and trying not to burn myself like a Lobster on Bondi Beach!
-
Having seen some of the photos of Mark in Kenya, I’d love to go visit parts of Africa and go on Safari, or visit the South African vineyards
-
Being the football fanatic I am I’d love to be able to go and sample the atmosphere of some of the most intense derbies in the worl! Like Boca Juniors vs River Plate, Barcelona vs Real Madrid, even Celtic vs Rangers

Or nearest vineyard is almost a mile from the house. Hell of a walk when you’re wearing a bulletproof vest.
Its ok mate! I have many years in which to become accustomed to walking round in a bullet proof vest! Can practice round Nottingham
Well, if you ever do the Route 66 trip don’t expect Kingman, Arizona to be up to much. I’ve been there and ALL it is is Route 66 signs and memorabilia. Bondi is fun and if you go to Sydney you have to go there but Manley Beach is pretty nice too. Going on Safari is on my bucket list but I think that will have to wait for a while. Or at least till I get a job…lol.
