So I think i’m over the worst of this blessed cold.  I’ve found myself laying on the sofa watching crap daytime telly on my day off of all days!  I mean I am SOOO glad that I have a proper job working 9-5:30 or I think I could go mad with the quality of telly, unless I’m wanting to sell my house and all the junk I have in it, or I feel like inventing a social dysfunctional family to appear on Jeremy Kyle

According to John, Newcastle are Jammy gits, after coming back from behind and winning 2-1 against Doncaster at home, even tho we finished with only 10 men.  Hmmm this from a fan of a team who beat Barnsley 1-0 with a goal in the dying seconds, who then had the goalscorer sent off for a 2nd yellow It’s not looking too good for Sheff United at the minute, as they descend towards the bottom half of the table (looking good for our next game which is on telly AGAIN) Altho our current record is not too good, so maybe the win this weekend may have given a bit of false hope hmmm! Still top 1 point clear tho so it’s all good.  Never before have I wanted Shola Ameobi to come back from injury as quick as I have as we seem to be missing his goalscoring.

Even tho I wasn’t 100% (more like 70%) fit I still went to watch the lads Sunday morning, and ended up on the bench.  John wasn’t there, but I doubt I could have played much more than 20 minutes anyway, as even running the line I had to keep stopping and had coughing fits that ended up in me nearly throwing up!!  3-0 down at half time sounds like we played crap, but the wind must have been about 30mph straight down the pitch as goal-kicks and clearances were hardly going anywhere.  Thanks to Scotts long throw tho, and an Ali corner we managed to get back into the game and won 4-3.  Watched the 2nd half of the Liverpool game, and I love watching the 2 teams kick lumps out of each other, and Carragher was lucky to stay on the pitch after fouling his old bessie mate Mickey Owen, when he was through with a chance to spoon the shot wide or something   Vidic managed to get himself sent off for the 3rd time in 3 games against the Scousers which was amusing to see.  After that I just laid watching the NFL from Wembley, cringing every time the players slide or looked to take chunks out of the once hallowed Wembley turf.  Was a good game which the New England Patriots overcame the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 35-7.

I’ve still got this stupid cough, and for some reason I’m feeling red hot at the minute, but hopefully I’m over the worst of this combination of Swine Man Flu or what ever it is that I’ve caught Not nice whatever it was, due to being unable to sleep Thursday and Friday night cos of sore throat, blocked/runny nose, and constant hot and cold flushes meaning one minute I’m under the covers next minute I’m on top of them
