It’s safe to say that upon knowing about this I’ve been really looking forward to it, and it’s safe to say it didn’t disappoint one little bit!! I’m defo wanting to go away and do the whole driving experience again, but maybe do the Rally one this time! My god I still think I’m buzzing from getting to drive the selection of cars
Altho I’m still knackered from the subsequent late night haha!
Anyway since my last update, I’ve managed to hobble around the football pitch Friday night, and performed mini-heroics in net, given that the teams were one sided (But Moz wasn’t moaning this week surprisingly, since the shoe was on the other foot) but I just enjoplaying for a laugh, so don’t tend to let it get me down. I had planned to get all my stuff ready Friday night and have a lie in, but as it happened I ended up chatting away for most of the night, whilst watching NCIS and the usual stuff on Channel Five! For some strange reason I had a very vivid dream (or was it nightmare) which involved my ex
Not had one like that for a long long time, but Im not gonna go into details on here.
As predicted I was up like a kid at Christmas by 7 Sat morning, and decided to get myself some breakfast, unaware of Maddsy’s plan for later that morning. Anyway for some reason my card was declined, so I headed home, a little hungry with my tail between my legs!
By the time I’d got back, I sat watching Madagascar 2 whilst doing my ironing, and watching the clock. One of my pet hates is waiting. I get really annoyed when waiting, and being as excited as I was I decided watching a film was best for me to take my mind off things. Wasn’t long after it had finished that Karl, Maddsy and Crit were outside waiting, and we were on our way via a little detour to get Al.
Got there in plenty of time and had a wander round looking at the various cars they had, and got ourselves booked in. Had our safety breifing, and then got taken around the track. By the time it came to my first blast round the track, I was put in the Ferrarri 575. Luckily there was no clutch in this one, as my left leg was pretty much trembling, and the instructor even noticed it haha! The rest of the cars were awesome, and I’m feeling lucky to have driven something like that, and if given the chance again (My dad wants to do something similar for his 50th) then I’ll do everything in my power to have a go. I ended up with the highest marks out of 100, and earned the nickname “Captain Slow” in honour of James May from Top Gear! The jealousy shown by the lads was amusing, and I walked out bout £30 richer for it
It’s not about who the fastest driver is, but more a case of who it the better driver :p

Soon headed over to Birmingham, via Tamworth services for a stopgap from Burger King! Before arriving at the hotel, bout 6ish. Swift beer in the hotel bar, and then we were off to get ready. I got lost trying to navigate myself back to the lift or stairs from mine and Al’s room on the 7th floor, before we met up. Maddsy and the other 2 went to try and find Mark, who’d gotten himself lost from the car-park, and also managed to lose his car-parking ticket haha! The rest of the night seemed to comtain quite a few comedy moments. These involved Al being stood one minute, then flat on his back the next. Crit turning round and falling on top of him. It seemed like something had flown though the air, and smacked Al on the forehad, causing him to fall straight back
Soon we hit Walkabouts, and the shots started, and from then on it got very messy! A Tequila in there along with a Bud, and then we hit one bar and Lee got everyone on to Vodka, Lime and Lemonades! Can’t remember what order we did the pubs, but we ended up in Reflex or something, and Maddsy did his usual find the funny headgear trick! You can guarantee either him or Bagi would do it when on a night out. Hit the lapdancing bar, and I really couldn’t hack much more, but then I managed to find a second wind. Lee took it upon himself to start telling one of the dancers that “She’s better than all this” and how he’s been to Ibiza the week before, and she wouldn’t look out of place there. The bouncers took offence when he started chatting to a second girl, and he was quickly ejected via 4 bouncers
We soon followed. Tried to get back into one of the earlier pubs, and only me, Mark, Maddsy and Karl made it, with Crit and Lee being told they’re too drunk. Mark tried to reason with them, but the bouncer just said “Health and safety. Just look at them mate, they could die or something” As they’re swaying from side to side. They ended up on their own random journey till bout half 5! Karl got hiccups, and then rather than turning round, as he was stood with his back to the door, he took a diagonal route, very much guided by the beer, and what followed next was pure comedy! HE denies it, but me, Mark and Maddsy all saw it! there was tall glass pane windows, and Karl looked like a mime artist, as he slowly tried to focus enough to see where the door handle was. He managed two whole windows, before a bouncer came over and gave him a helping hand. Us 3 meanwhile just couldn’t stop laughing. Called into the best Burito place ever on the way to the hotel, and somehow even tho Al left an hour before me, I was still in bed before him!!
Not too impressed to be up and dressed by 9am, and on our way to Wetherspoons for breakfast. Just the thought made me hurl, and I was impressed with the amount I did manage to eat. The journey home was amusing regailing in stories from the night before, and the rest of Sunday from 1pm when we got home, was a blur as I laid on the sofa nodding off. That didn’t help me when it came to sleeping Sunday night either
