At long last… An update

So now we’re halfway through September! Where the hell is time going.  Pretty much another week or three has passed since I updated this.  I’m not liking it, as now we’re in September it means people from my school year are turning 30, thus meaning mine is gonna be approaching fast once we get closer to Christmas (Oh God I’ve mentioned the C word already)  Was a decent enough weekend, altho despite not drinking I was shattered come Tuesday morning at work as a result of it! Bad Times.

Made my debut for Cockle FC the other weekend, and it’s safe to say my legs were fucked after carrying me round the pitch for 70 minutes! Ended coming off after being done for pace AGAIN with a couple of minutes to go! There was this whiney little fucker playing up front for them, who was giving it the big I am, and he took a few swings for Maloney, missing every time    Wasn’t gonna do much on the Sunday night, given it was a Bank Holiday, but John text me to say all the football lads were out and so I decided to drive over and pick him up.  some of the lads were smashed by the time we met up with them, and they soon started dropping like flies as soon as 9pm came around.  Was due to go to the Limo’s re-union in the Late Lounge, but John queued up for half an hour, to get to the door, and be told that it was one wristband per person! Great.  Could have joined the queue with Day, but I decided I was knackered, so I headed off home.  Still ended up giving the pair of them a lift home, with Day grumbling that my ex was rather too drunk and that

Since that Bank Holiday week, I’ve kinda battered the gym a little, and had a week off work.  I was aiming to redecorate the inside of the house, but due to lack of funds, I’ve postponed that project until xmas, when I’ve got 2 weeks off to sit down and think about what I want doing.  During the week off, I did a spot of visiting, involving heading over to Maxxd HQ to see Olly and Dave, and the new bloke Adam.  For old times sake, me and Olly had agreed that we’d head over to AJ’s, and as in the past they didn’t dissapoint.  It took me best part of 20 minutes to devour the rather tasty Chicken Mayo baguette it was that nice and substantial haha!  Also I headed round to see my Grandma and Grandad for a bit, and it was nice to just sit and relax in the conservatory chatting to them about things, and having a right good catch up.  Can’t beat it.

We’re 2 games into the new Sunday morning football season, and it’s safe to say that first game we really did miss some of the 5 players that were missing! Losing 5-1 in the process.  Didn’t think I did too bad, but gaffer thought otherwise and I got my lowest mark ever haha!  5/10  But we managed to get back to winning ways, putting 7 past Jackman’s Wheatsheaf! Which included me missing a guilt-edged chance with the score at 0-0! Lets just say a rush of blood to the head! WHOOPS!! 7-1 was a decent result in the end, altho on another day it could easily have been 10 or more.

Really can’t wait for this coming weekend, and I’ll be posting a hell of a lot of photos in my write-up about it! You’ll all see why soon :D

Must apologise to those who keep coming back to see if I’ve had any updates (Certain people know who they are) and I’m gonna try and join in with the Blogging for fun group again, specially now their “Fun Fridays” Theme is looking like it’s gonna make a return! YAY! Do enjoy participating in them when I remember.

Since England have qualified for the World Cup, I’m in two minds as to try and save up and head over there! At the moment I can find some decent enough flights to both Cape Town and Jo’burg, just wondering if anyone has any info on accommodation and which is the better place to stay! I’m sure Malc will be trying to head over too, and I’m not that fussed bout getting tickets for the England games, it’s just to be able to sample the buzz of a World Cup in a different continent.  One that should suit the English team more, given it’ll be in the South African Winter! IF I do sort it out, and end up in Cape Town I’ll be sure to find Mr 6k to meet up and maybe have a beer or something!

Thats all for now, and I’m gonna promise to turn over a new leaf, and hopefully return to my old blogging, and slight money-making, ways soon!!

I was wondering where you had got to, especially since the Toon are doing so well. Shame they didn’t play like this last season then they wouldn’t have got relegated to begin with! As for England qualifying for the World Cup next year…WOO HOO! The husband and I were just discussing the possibility of going but I dare say we will have to wait till at least the start of next year to see.
