He’s caught him…
I’ve lead a pretty boring life lately! With John being away I’ve not really been to the gym. I’ve still been footballing 2/3 times a week, and feel good for doing it. On the downside to not going to the gym, I’ve managed to watch a whole season of NCIS in under a week! haha! It has been the only real thing I’ve watched on telly, apart from CSI etc on Channel 5. It’s all I’ve wanted to do tho, as Maddsy had last week off, so I was pretty busy sorting as much out as I could, so I didn;t have any reason to ring him with work related questions during his time off. Lets see if he extends a similar courtesy during my week off soon
Most of this weekend was spent round at my mum and dad’s making the most of their free Sky Sports for a month. I did this by having the cricket on. I’ve been riveted with the whole Ashes series specially since 2005, and it was a great feeling when England finally took the final Aussie wicket to win the 5th and final test by 197 runs, and with it regain the ashes which were embarrassingly lost by a 5-0 washout in Australia a few winters ago. We’ve 18 months to try and build on this now, and not surrender them in such a poor fashion.
Turned up for training Sunday morning with Smithy, and only 3 others turned up
Me, Mitch, Smithy, Watsi (gaffer) and a.n.other ended up having a few games on 2-man taking it in turns to go in net, before having a go at the cross-bar challenge. Safe to say no-one got anywhere near
The Toon have continued their promising start to the season, beating Palace 2-0 with both Ryan Taylor and Kevin Nolan getting their first goals for the club. News coming out of the club is that Ashley has extended the deadline for Barry Moat to buy the club, to give him time to discuss the Clubs overdraft facility with Barclay’s and other things. Lets hope it’s sorted soon and we can have a little stability, and build on 10 points in the opening 4 games. So far it’s looking a nice open Championship table with 4 teams (the 3 that went down plus Cardiff) all on 10 points, and then 2 points behind Sheff Utd and 2 others. Lets keep up the good work by beating Leicester this coming weekend at home on Bank Holiday Monday.
