Another weeks update

Right so I got that sneezing fit out of the way last week, and also got the hardest gym session I’ve had yet out of the way.  It was brutal, and at one point I couldn’t feel my bloody arms!

Once again I must apologise for neglecting the blog and not visiting the others who usually drop by to show their support.  Week off work soon, so I’m gonna try and get round to visiting loads of blogs and things and leave a few comments here and there :)

John has gotten back off his holidays last Monday and he’s brown as hell, and we went to the gym Tuesday, Wednesday (with Troy) and Thursday for a mini-session, after Wednesdays monster super-sets session. Neither of us felt like lifting anything to start with on Thursday but once we loosened up it wasn’t too bad.  Until the muscles started to tighten and everything! I only stopped hurting on the Sunday!!

Me and CarolAnne had quite  nostalgic Friday and Saturday night chat, which tended to involve Youtube and loads of links being sent backwards and forwards.  Friday night we were on about old classic songs that take us back to our younger early clubbing days.  Some of them were uplifting, the sort where you close your eyes and you can imagine yourself back in the club on holiday or in town.  Others would really get you in the mood to have a few drinks and dance the night away.  It’s safe to say that by 11 we were both in a mood to go clubbing haha!  Some of the songs we were reminiscing about are below…

Can’t quite remember what we were on about saturday evening, as I was too engrossed in my new boxset. I’d treated myself to NCIS Season 3, and I’m hooked at the minute.  I’ve spent every available moment watching it, and have seen about 12 episodes so far since Saturday night haha!  I really do need to get my hands on the other boxsets as soon as possible I think.

Sunday was a logn and painful day.  We were enetered into the Market Warsop tournament in Sookholme near Warsop, and we had 2 teams.  One reached the final and looked very leggy, as the other was knocked out in the group stages.  Sure you can imagine which team me, John and Smithy were on  2 draws and 2 defeats in our 4 group games! Altho there was some cheating going on with Jewells playing players in both teams to try and ensure one got to the semi’s! R&K lost in the Semi, having drawn 2-2 with our A-Team  It was annoying playing a game, then a 3 game rest, then playing, then 2 game rest etc.  You just end up feeling really lethagic towards the last few games.  I ended up with comedy sunburn tho, with a nice red ring around my knees, where my shin pads and shorts didn’t quite cover my legs haha! I’d put suntan lotion on my top half, but still burnt the back of my hands too.

Was a great win for Newcastle on Saturday and I sat and watched it round at my mum and dads.  We played some good stuff in the West Brom game, and carried it on with an assured display against a rather young side.  It could have easily gone the other way, with the young Reading lads grabbing their chance of a big upset infront of a decent 36,000+ crowd and the Sky TV cameras.  Ameobi grabbed his first ever hat-trick, and according to my mum dedicated it to Sir Bobby.  The minutes applause before the game, and subsequent chanting of Sir Bobbys nam meant the result topped off a good day for the Toon.  Up to 3rd in the table after oinly 2 games, but we’re above Forest, Derby and Leicester so it’s all good.  Sheff Wednesday on Wednesday, so hoping we can get another 3 points infront of our home fans, before a tricky trip to Sehurst Park to take on Palace on Saturday!
