So the Football League and Non-League scene both kicked off this weekend, and there were a few big scores coming in around full-time! Sven got off to a winning start as County won 5-0, Norwich were on the end of a 7-1 battering at home to their rivals Colchester.  The more important games all seemed to be draws! I’m desperate to see us finish above both Forest and Sheff United and all 3 teams drew this weekend! Sheff Utd drawing 0-0 on the Friday night, and Forest 0-0 on the Saturday.  With us getting a 1-1 draw at the fellow relegated team West Brom.  Our defending was at times Shambolic to say the least, but we looked good going forward, until that final ball.  Jonas was getting more and more frustrated as he just couldn’t seem to do what he wanted, and the simple passes were going astray.  Over all I’m happy with a point from West Brom who loads of people are tipping to go straight back up, which appears to be their forte!   Next up Reading at home on Saturday!!

I wasn’t expecting a busy weekend, but it turned out to be busier than first thought!  Friday was the usual football followed by TV, but with CarolAnne out celebrating her 30th with her work-mates, I just messed about with my Farm on Farm Town and then laid on the sofa watching my usual Friday night TV.  Was up a bit earlier than normal Saturday as I had to go pick my mum up before heading into town, due to my dad playing in the Oakmere Championship or something, and so having to tee-off earlier than normal.  For once I decided to treat myself to a new t-shirt, so I found a nice turqoise coloured Henleys Polo-Shirt before heading off.

Saturday afternoon was then spent keeping my eye on the Sky Sports website checking how all the teams were going on in their opening games, whilst the nerves were growing ahead of the Toon game.  Once the game was over I got an invite via my updated facebook status, asking if I was in town for Mr Kirks birthday.  Not one to dissapoint I got ready there and then, and met a very drunk Troy round at Lee and Tibbzy’s along with Ant and D  It was a random night to say the least, with Troy being hammered.  At one point, we were all outside Liquid with all the “un-cool smokers” and Nab had some hand wash with him for reasons only he can explain.  Anyway he decided to light it and see if it burnt.  Cue the Piromaniacs in them all! At one point an old friend came outside, and Troy hid behind her, saying we wanted to turn him into a human candle! Cue a 5 minute telling off which included “I’ll be up to see your mother in the morning, to see if you’ve set him on fire or not” haha!  Left them in Liquid just after 1, as I knew I had to be up to take a certain someone somewhere in the morning.  Over the night I must have seen 7 or 8 Cockle lads out, all asking if I was going training, but as I’d already promised to take someone out in the morning I couldn’t get :(   There was a hot-tub in Liquid, and there were some quite sketchy women getting in it, and some proper pervy lads getting videos and photos (including Troy) Who knows what they planned on doing  with them when they got back home HAHAHA!

Got to my mum and dads around 9:50, and programed the Sat Nav to the destination, and then went to pick our Owen up.  He had no idea where he was going, other than our Lewi telling him there was a park for him to play in, and on the way he was telling us that he went to a farm and saw a baby pig, and we were counting the bridges as we went under them, and the roundabouts.  It was a great drive.  Half an hour later and we arrived at The Midland Railway Centre.  For our Lewi’s birthday my mum said she’s pay for him to take our wen, as he loves his trains, and when he got out the car he asked if it was “Thomas Land” and when I asked him if it would be good if it was he said “Yeeeaahhh”  It wasn’t Thomas land as such, but he rang my mum saying he was sat on Thomas and they were going round and he can hear the whistle and everything.  Turns out he loved every minute of it, and thats the main thing.  Him and our Lew spent some good time together :)
