I was amused whilst watching the Manchester United vs FC Porto game Tuesday night, when the commentator first mentioned this guys name, and then it made me chuckle a little more when I saw it on the back of his shirt! How fricking cool must it be to have the nickname “The Hulk” And be able to play football with it on the back of your shirt
As the ITV commentators told us on more than one occassion, his nickname derived from him looking like (and being built by the looks of it) The Incredible Hulk! It was an awesome game, and not often you see a team go to Old Trafford and really cause Man Utd problems in the way that FC Porto did, and I was pleased when they snatched a late equaliser, as they deserved a draw atleast!

I’m hating the new 118 247 directory enquiry advert, as I can’t get the fricking song out of my twating head! I can honestly say it’s like I have my own personal radio station implanted in my brain, as I just seem to break out into song, whistle or hum to what appears to be the last song I heard, or the first song I heard that morning! Making a drink in Crits bit don’t help when he’s listening to the radio, and I’ll exit humming/whistling/singing along to the bloody song, and that will be it for the day! Atleast I’ve got Maddsy annoyed by him singing it too today! The song I’ve got in the car at the minute is awesome! It’s a remix of R Kelly’s Ignition and Eminem’s Superman! I love the lyrics in it
Had the song ages but only just put it back onto a CD in the car.
Updated both the Mini-Marquees BLOG and the MM Hire BLOG this morning! Idiot here stayed logged into one of the accounts when I thought I’d logged out, and ended up posting both on one account!
Managed to sort it all out now! Thats the problem with writing numerous blog posts under different accounts I guess

You know, I’ve always wondered why we’ve not seen more of this. Here in the U.S., there was a short-lived (and very cheesy) football league called the XFL that allowed players to put whatever they wanted on the backs of their jerseys. Short slogans, nick names — you name it.
“He Hate Me” was the fan favorite.
Well – after last night, the first two QF’s are the only interesting ones now. Boo. Shocked at Liv v Che result.
Your man-flu gone then?
@ The Hawg ~ When I started playing for Sutton RS, we all paid an extra tenner I think it was and we had our nicknames on the back of our shirts!
Surprised England never opted for nicknames on the back of their shirts when Steve McLaren was in charge! He was always calling the players by their nicknames!!
@ 6000 ~ No mate! Still slowly dying! Not helped by hitting the gym last night for a shoulders session, and then going football training for an hour indoors! It’s killed me
I like how the commentator succumbed to the line “you won’t like him when he’s angry” in about ten minutes. Typical ITV
I’d love to see him angry in the return leg! He showed he’s capable of destroying the Man Utd back-line with his pace and trickery! Not many players have the chance to make Vidic look somewhat normal TWICE in a few weeks
