So It’s been about a week since I last updated this
Had the intention of doing it once or twice in that week, but couldn’t find the motivation to sit at a computer and type away till my hearts content :lol; So anyway time to update with the little ins and outs of my life this last week. At the weekend me and Bagi had made a rather tame effort at sorting out going to the pub to watch the Inter Milan vs Man Utd game, and in the end it ended up with me going to pick him up, and then the pair of us headed into Wetherspoons in town as it was steak night, and we got it just about bang on! The food was pretty much coming out to our table the moment the teams were coming onto the pitch
Our only complaint was the fact they had bloody subtitles on during the game! I know I’m 90% deaf in one ear, and normally watch films and things with subtitles on, but football is not one of them occasions
It has to go down as one of the more entertaining 0-0 draws in the Champions League, and I’m hoping that not getting that elusive away goal will come and bite Man Utd on the ass. hehehe! We watched the first half in Spoons before deciding it was a little too quiet, apart from 3 fitr birds who came in for some food
so we went off to head to pastures new for the 2nd half, as Bagi needed to get some money out the bank. We decided on The Swan and it was pretty much dead in there also. After the game I won £13 on the fruit machine, before deciding as I still had an hour left on the parking that we’d have one more drink in Spoons so we went BACK there! Was a nice mini pub crawl haha.
The pic Bagi sent to Moorey who was still at work at that time
Wednesday at work was pretty busy to be fair, with Mark returning from his Kenya trip, before heading off to the Bridge to watch his Chelsea against Juve. I didn’t get to watch any of the games, and headed for the gym at the now standard time of 6.45pm! During dinner on Wednesday I did the nice and healthy thing of walking into town to go and pay a cheque in
Was a nice 45 minutes out and about, and it’s certainly getting milder at the moment. Nipped into Holland and Barrett to get myself some more Whey as I’m wanting to bulk up now (as well as get rid of the bit of fat I’m carrying around the six-pack haha!

Mmmmm Strawberry flavoured Milkshake!
Thursday was spent making sure everything I could do was done ahead of another 3 day weekend, and then I spent the night chilling out after heding to the gym again. Made my first protein shake afterwards, and didnt realise that I’d be using half a pint of milk mixed with 3 scoops
Filled a pint glass, and went down a treat, altho you can’t drink it too fast cos it is so thick and heavy that it fills you up quite quickly. spent the rest of the night chilling out on the Xbox determined to get as close as I could to Prestige 2
Woke up Friday morning to find a missed call from Maddsy, and it turned out that he wondered if I could nip in to do some designs and try and help get a few orders tied up before the months end, So I went and picked up my fancy dress costume from the Royal Mail Depot on the same industrial estate as where I work, and then headed home for half an hour, so I could get my dose of Dangermouse, before nipping into work with my mask. Everyone seemed to love it, and I’m gonna have to tweak the costume a little to make it fit, and Carol has agreed to give me a hand doing so
Can’t wait for this party now! Had a few games on the XBOX again, before heading over to Rainworth to have a look at a car for sale, before finding no-one in the sales office, so I headed back home. Chilled out for a bit tidying the house and moving my DVD’s onto a shelf and generallyhaving a sort out of the house, before getting ready to go our and play football. Was a good laugh as per usual, apart from Meatball tipping the nets over twice, and generally being mardy about everything! Can’t have looked good if they had CCTV watching the pitches! Maybe Teddy will sort it out if they do have. Got home and went online, and saw Lee Westwood was online, so we ended up playing on the Zombie level with his mate Ryan and Drunken Monkey who it turns out I was playing against earlier in the night, so we had a laugh the 4 of us messing about, and at one point the other 3 were dead, and watching me with no amo taking on hordes of Zombies with nothing more than my mellee attack
It was pretty comical I guess and all I could hear was them 3 pissing themselves on the other end of the headset! We ended up having a few online games of headquarters once Brewin and Mcflynoob came online, and as we were all in the same party we were having a laugh, even tho one of the party ended up on the opposition side, so it was fun baiting the odd one out thats for sure
Saturday was spent messing about tidying the house some more and messing about on the net, before getting a phone call off my dad in the afternoon asking if I fancied going out for a drink or two sat night. I did wonder if there was an alterior motive behind this, and afetr a little probing it turned out that he wanted a lift to the Little John in Ravenshead with my mum, so they can go to the Northern Soul night, along with his golfing buddy Martin, and he was willing to pay for my drinks and that all night, but I said I’d give them a lift anyway, and just chill out on Tiger Woods golf on their Wii till they wanted picking up later in the evening. It didn’t exactly go to plan, as once I’d got in and was having a round of golf, my sister rang me asking if I could ring our Lew on his Orange phone
As I was not sure which number it was she text it me, but he pranked me at that exact same time. Turns out my mum and dad were not the only ones wanting a taxi for the night. His mates Muff and Marc Stevens were throwing a house party in Forest Town, and they’d invited him, but as his benefits hadn’t been paid in, they were gonna pay for himt o get a taxi over there! Or pay me a fiver should I say! By the time I’d gotten back to my mum and dads I had time for 2 more rounds, finishing dead last in both
Before getting a call asking if I can pick them both up again. Got home about half 11 and just chilled out watching TV for a bit before calling it a night.
Got up and headed over to Macdonalds for my usual sunday morning breakfast, and then nipped into Maddsys before heading over to the Staff of Life to meet the lads before heading off to Huthwaite! Gotta love Sunday morning football when you’re hading over to places like Huthwaite, and your star player is contemplating not getting changed, after 2 potentially leg breaking challenges on him in the fixture at our ground, one of which resulted in a 20 man brawl. Maddsy and Kieran came to watch for about 20 minutes before heading off to watch Dylan play. Was a decent game off football, but I’m paying for it now! Stud marks down my right leg, and a dead leg just above the knee on my left leg! I’m getting too old for this shit
I’m paying for it now it’s safe to say
Mr Bradshaws un-biased Match Report…
This was our 9th successive unbeaten league game, a run that spans back from October 2008.
With Moorey having a weekend away to celebrate his birthday a change was forced. Willa came into the team on the left wing with Sami moving to fill the centre midfield slot. A move which seemed to benefit both the team and Sami.
RandK FC could not have asked for a better start as Bud slotted home as early as the 3rd minute following an opposistion error. It stayed 1-0 for quite some time thanks to some great defending from both sides as it was end-to-end stuff. However we were slowly letting Huthwaite into the game and after what can only be described as silly school-boy error, Huthwaite were on level terms. This did not last long as 5 minutes later RandK had regained their lead thanks to Buds second and the goal of the game, with Bud running some 30yards with the ball before firing a 20 yard effort past the hapless Home keeper. 2-1.
We could and maybe should of increased our lead just before half-time when a great ball by Jock found Winty, who played a brilliant ball across goal to Bud, whos effort needed a goal-line clearance.
Half-time 2-1.
We knew Huthwaite would come at us after the interval, as this game looked like make or break for them in this seasons promotion chase, but within minutes of the re-start Nick played a cracking ball to Bud who made no mistake to mark his second hat-trick of the season. 3-1 and looking in control.
Huthwaite were again starting to creep back into the game but Rob produced some great stops before RandK and Bud got their 4th goals of the game, Willa put in a deep cross to the far post and Bud somehow lifted the ball over the keeper and under the bar from 7 yards out. 4-1.
This is were we started to lose our shape, with the game effectively won our shape began to disappear, and we literally paid the penalty when Greg conceded a spotkick for Huthwaite to make it 4-2.
Subsitutions were starting to be made with all 3 subs getting sometime on the pitch and RandK professionally played the clock down and took a well deserved 3 points off the team just below us in the league.
A great team performance today from everyone involved. To think how far this team as come since last season and then pre-season is a credit to you guys as players. So keep it up.
MOM – Bud – a perfect display from our speedy striker, Bud was clinical infront of goal today but also showed a willingness to lift his head and look for his team-mates. Well done pal.

Nipped back to the pub for the first time in ages, as it was on the way home, and Brad said he’d buy me a drink as he was in a decent mood with the performance and result. Headed over to my mum and dads for my dinner, but didnt stay long. Had text commentary on the internet for the Bolton vs Newcastle game, and once again we lose when all the others around us were winning this weekend! IT’s really gonna go to the wire this season aint it folks! And I fear the worst. MY dad was asleep on the sofa, so I decided to head off home, where I chilled out in the bath, and then caught up on my One Tree Hill episodes, before heading to bed to watch Rush Hour 3 on DVD

Too old indeed!
Then you must adapt your game to manage the situation.
I was up against a winger who was probably (literally!) half my age last week. He was FAST. So I broke him a bit and then he was much more managable.
Easy when you know how.
There is only so much adapting a bloke can make during his career! I started off as a right winger, then wing-back, then right/left back and now i’m one of 3 centre-backs
The only place I’ve not really played is up-front! I’ve had one or two games in net, and looked completely lost as a central midfield “general” HAHA
