Fancy Dress outfit ordered!

Yes thats right! After having decided on my outfit a good month or so ago, HERE, I decided I’d let enough time go by without doing anything, so last night I checked my bank balance, and it allowed it, so I ordered my outfit through Ebay! God I’m excited and can’t wait for it to be delivered! Hopefully it’ll be Friday when I’m off work AGAIN  so I can try it on and see what it looks like! I may even wear the mask more often a bit like Cartoon Head from BBC3′s Ideal Series with Johnny Vegas. I really wanna watch all these series again, cos they’re ace and really appeal to my sense of humour

Moz is a small-time hash dealer who lives in a run-down flat with his long-term girlfriend Nicki. Moz is a low achiever, and quite happy with it, but Nicki has aspirations for a better life…

The series takes place almost entirely in Moz’s flat with his chosen ‘profession’ serving as the backdrop for a very colourful array of customers and misfits who pass through his life on a daily basis.

.

Cartoon Head!.

Last night I had an hour on the XBOX before heading over to the gym, where me and John analysed the game on sunday and came to the conclusion that it was a good game of football overall, and that Winty maybe SHOULD have had a penalty, and Sami was a silly boy for sticking his hand up in the air to try and stop the ball, wether or not he touched the ball or not.

Once I got home I had another hour or so on the XBOX before heading upto bed aching like a bugger where I decided to watch Never Back Down!  Gotta keep my xbox happy, so he writes nice things about me on his blog HERE. WOW currently a 19 day gaming streak  Latest extract from my XBOX 360′s Blog HAHA

Wiggy3′s Weekly Recap – Feb 23 2009

Someone ask for a weekly recap? Even if you didn’t, here it is: It is a good one! Wiggy3 had seven days of gaming! In a row! I know! Crazy! No increase in gamerscore… but that really isn’t important. Also, I think Wiggy3′s favorite game last week was Call of Duty: WaW. He played it on 7 of the days.

And that is the news for now… Check back next week… same bat time, same bat channel…

Another long weekend!

So this was part 2 out of 3 long weekends on the trot  Had a nice chilled out weekend, with a few moments of action involved haha!  Had to laugh on the Wednesday at work, when Colin, a UPS driver who used to do our rounds about 3 or 4 years ago, called in as he was back doing our area for the day as cover, and he was abusing Maddsy! As soon as he came up the stairs, cos Maddsy was on the phone he came over and we had a chat, and he asked “What, or should I say Who has he been eating?” Didnt really get upto a lot Wednesday night, other than hitting the gym for a shoulders session, and then home to bed.  Thursday seemed like a long day, knowing it was my last of the working week.  Had a quick hour on COD that night, and then chilled out watching a dvd or two before heading upto bed still aching from the previous nights gym antics!

Seven players sent off in Brazilian brawl

I wonder if the highlights of this game are on Youtube! If they are I can imagine the highlights being as long as the game  And the Old Firm claim to have a brutal rivalry haha! LINK to Reuters story

RIO DE JANEIRO (Reuters) – Seven players were sent off after a ferocious brawl sparked by a goal celebration in a Brazilian match.

The fight held up play for a quarter of an hour at the end of Thursday night’s game between Brasil and Ulbra in the Rio Grande do Sul championship, one of the regional tournaments which kick off the Brazilian season.

Brasil president Elder Lopes was also involved.

Television pictures showed that trouble broke out when Rogerio Pereira scored the final goal in Ulbra’s 5-2 away win and went to celebrate in front of the Brasil supporters.

Pereira was attacked by several Brasil players, leading to a fight near the corner flag in which players punched and kicked each other and tripped over the advertising hoardings.

Several players were seen to kick or punch rivals from behind, then run off.

Reserve players and team officials also joined in while riot police moved onto the field but kept out of the fighting.

At one stage, Brasil president Lopes ran onto the field and was seen aiming a kick at a player.

Brasil were involved in a tragedy in January when three of their players were killed in an accident involving the team bus.

Their early matches in the tournament were postponed and they have taken only three points from eight matches.

“I tried to calm our players so that we did not suffer more serious consequences,” said Lopes.

“We are already being penalised by what happened and we can’t afford to lose more players through injury or suspension.” The referee sent off four players from Brasil and three from Ulbra.

Brawls often break out in Brazilian matches when players are offended by goal celebrations or believe that their opponents are trying to humiliate them with fancy tricks.

Going back to my roots.

So a few days ago Maddsy wanted to know how to get to the fields @ Jo Whit school, cos Dylan was playing his first game of football for his team, and he asked if I fancied coming down to watch.  Got all excited and then the game was called off due to the crappy weather we’ve been having lately.  Anyway turns out they’d re-scheduled the game for last night.  Left work and we went on a bit of a detour to get to Rainworth, but we avoided all the traffic that heads away from the industrial estate, and we got to football with time to spare! It seemed odd walking round the ground of my old stamping ground, and I was trying to convince “Hamster Cheeks” (Rich) that his car would be safe, cos if anyone nicked it, they’d only take it down to the Robin Hood car-park to try and take it to bits or something  Logan was starting but Dylan was on the bench prowling ready for his chance! For some reason Kian and Kieran decided they wanted to chase me, and poor Rich looked like his nerves were shot    They were losing 3-1 when I left with about 10 minutes left, and it turns out they lost 6-1, but Logan got Man of the Match! It’s amusing watching the kids play, and how the Rainworth Tigers defence (both of them) were stood like commanding Centre-backs on their “18 yard line” Which to be fair worked well! There was some proper amusing challenges being made too!

Left with a few minutes left to head over to the gym for a “quick” chest session, and it’s hurting now    Had a good chat with John about the usual stuff, and then headed home.  Chilled out chatting to CarolAnne and messing about on the net for a bit, before I realised it was CSI night on 5! So I sat and watched an episode of CSI, CSI Miami and then CSI New York :D   Looking back to last night, I can’t beliebe how much of the school has changed with them being awarded Scports College status a few years back, but also some of the parts were exactly as I remembered them all them years ago

Mixed bag this weekend!

As the title says its been a mixed weekend. Had a great time on Friday night out round Newark, but then the news I heard Saturday put a bit of a downer on the whole weekend :( MY thoughts are with the families of everyone involved in this most tragic of accidents…

The identities of six people, killed in a collision between two cars in Nottinghamshire, are not expected to be released before Tuesday.

Police believe they know the names of the victims of the crash on the A614, near Bilsthorpe.

But their details will not be released until post-mortem examinations have been carried out.

The four young people and a couple in their 60s died when their cars collided head-on on Friday night.

There was a constant stream of friends and relatives laying tributes to the deceased on Sunday.

Read the rest here

My thoughts are with the families of all 6 people who died in the accident.

Thursday evening I headed straight to the hairdressers from work, and battled the snowy weather again, before nipping round to my mum and dads for a bit.  Had one of them new pizzas from Goodfellas.  This one was a Nacho Chicken, and tasted bloody nice!  After chilling there for a bit I headed home and basically chilled out watching a bit of telly and that, and wandered off to bed about 1ish expecting a little bit of a lie-in, but that wasn’t to be, and I found myself awake about 8ish on my birthday day-off work! Always happens, so I  checked my phone, and saw I had one or two birthday messages, before nodding off for an hour!  Had some breakfast and a few games on COD before becoming a little bored of it, and so I sorted myself out, opened my birthday cards *Thanks to the family for the money* and I settled down to a few films.  Nipped into work to pick up a large Steak pie that I’d got Carol to order with their Friday food order, and headed back home! (Despite Maddsys best attempts to get ME to go to the bakers for him cos he wanted a Bacon cob :? ) Got a text off John saying he’d be in the gym about 3.45, and tried to reply saying I’d be there! Thats when I first learnt my phone wasn’t working hmmmmmmmm.  Went onto my online account with O2, and turns out they didnt try and take any money from my account, or send me an email saying anything, they just cut me off!!!  Tried to pay online, but that kept fucking up, so headed to the gym, stuck behind loads of traffic, and got there with John not knowing if I’d turn up or not, so he’d already started.

How do Geordies brave the cold?

Hmmm maybe a certain Geordie lass I know who reads this could help answer this  It does make me chuckle when you’re watching a Newcastle game on the telly, and they pan round the ground and you see quite a few geordies with no shirts on! Only problem being they have a few extra layers to keep them warm in way of a slightly large gut  Taken from the BBC Website

Scientists want to discover if Geordies feel the cold or have extra thick skin to cope with low temperatures.

Geordies are renowned for braving freezing conditions clad only in their glad-rags during a night out.

Now a survey is to be carried out by staff at the Centre of Life in Newcastle to see how they are able to wear so little.

The online questions include ‘what would persuade you to wear a coat on a night out?’

The investigation is part of the Newcastle ScienceFest, which will feature a 10-day programme of events to celebrate creativity and innovation.

Linda Conlon, chief executive of the Centre for Life and chair of the Newcastle ScienceFest steering group, said: “To kick off the festival, we decided to investigate the reputation Geordies have for not wearing a coat in even the worst weather.

“Is there a possible genetic reason for our bravery or is it simply because we like to show off our finery on a night out?”

Man Flu!!

Got this forwarded by Dee at work, and as most of the points raised are true, I thought I’d stick it on here for you to have a good laugh at

1. Man-Flu is more painful than childbirth. This is an irrefutable scientific fact*. *(Based on a survey of over 100,000 men.)

2. Man-Flu is not ‘just a cold’. It is a condition so severe that the germs from a single Man-Flu sneeze could wipe out entire tribes of people living in the rainforest. And probably loads of monkeys too.

3. Women do not contract Man-Flu. At worst they suffer from what is medically recognised as a ‘Mild Girly Sniffle’ – which, if a man caught,he would still be able to run, throw a ball, tear the phone book in half and compete in all other kinds of manly activities.

4. Men do not ‘moan’ when they have Man-Flu. They emit involuntary groans of agony that are entirely in proportion to the unbearable pain they are in.

5. Full recovery from Man-Flu will take place much quicker if their simple requests for care, sympathy and regular cups of tea are met. Is that really so much to ask? Florence Nightingale would have done it

6. More men die each year from MFN (Man-Flu Neglect) than lots and lots of other things. (Like rabbit attacks or choking on toast).

7. Men suffering from Man-Flu want nothing more than to get out of bed and come to work, but they are too selfless to risk spreading this awful condition amongst their friends and colleagues. In this sense, they are the greatest heroes this country has ever known.

8. In 1982 scientists managed to simulate the agonising symptoms of full blown Man-Flu in a female chimp. She became so ill that her head literally fell off.

9. Man-Flu germs are more powerful than He-Man, The Thundercats and The A-Team combined. They are too strong for weak, nasty tasting ‘lady medicines’ like Lemsip, so don’t bother trying to force them on a  victim of Man-Flu.

10. While it may seem like a Man-Flu sufferer is just lying around enjoying ‘Diagnosis Murder’ it is a commonly recognized medical fact that the exact pitch and frequency of Dick Van Dyke’s voice has remarkable soothing powers.

Every minute in this country one man is struck down by Man-Flu. Women, all  we ask is that each of you offers them a cup of tea some kind words and your undivided attention and care. Then maybe, just maybe, we’ll beat this monstrous disease together.

Beauty vs the Beast

More about the heading shortly. Been a relaxing few days, before I begin the countdown in earnest tomorrow (Friday 13th) It’s 366 days till my 30th  Not looking forward to it in the slightest.  Nipped away from my desk first thing, and came back to a Vanilla Cream Sponge on my desk with a sticker saying “Happy Birthday from Carol & Denise” Now I’ve gotta keep my eye out for the Chubby 6ft+ Rat that seems to have a liking for any cream cake I’ve EVER had in my 12 or so years working here!

Pic of the rat in a disguise to throw me off the scent!!

Anyway not spent too much on the xbox this week, altho I have spent a couple of hours on it! Watched this fascinating program the other night on Channel 5, before CSI Vegas! It was good to get into the swing of watching CSI again! My I’ve missed my CSI Tuesdays  A Little snippet from the Sun website…

FILM-STAR looks, long untamed locks and a special bond with wild animals – Olivier Houalet is a real-life Tarzan.

He has spent the past ten years in Namibia rescuing big cats and trying to find a way of returning them to the wild.

The Frenchman has developed such a special way of dealing with the animals that he has become known as “the cheetah whisperer”.

His methods could ultimately save hundreds of cats orphaned by poachers or natural causes.

Olivier, 28, spends months risking his life with the cats inside enclosures with the hope that when they are released they will allow him to follow them into the bush.

That way he aims to make sure they can hunt properly — and stay away from areas where they could be killed by protective farmers.

Watched the Spain vs England game last night, and was almost turned-on by the sexy Spanish play! They really were a joy to watch last night, and showed with their quick short passing game why they’re ranked No.1 in the FIFA Rankings!  It really was like the blog header suggests! Spains beautiful football against at times, our insistence to just lump it forward to Heskey to try and hold it up for Agbonlahor to try and get in behind, which never really worked! I thought that Carrick had been taken off at half time, due to the fact he hardly got a mention from what I can remember from the start of the 2nd half until about 83 minutes  He spent the best part of the game chasing shadows as the Spaniards did what they’re so good at! Iniesta and Xavi are awesome atacking players, and with Alonso sitting I can see them going far in the next World Cup!  Watched most of the game  inbetween chatting to CarolAnne again! :p  Really wanna head over to Amsterdam in August for the England friendly with the Dutch! Was speaking to our Malc about it, and he said him and Jez will more than likely go over too!

Really surprised how quickly things have rolled with this twitter thing! Once I’d started following a few people, it snowballs from there, and I’ve got about 70 or 80 people following me now! I dont wanna dissapoint
