The hunt is widening for a convicted drug dealer who escaped from prison in Germany in a cardboard box.

German police say they are planning to issue an international arrest warrant unless he is found soon.

The 37-year-old Turkish national hid in a cardboard box that was later taken away for recycling by a courier firm.

The inmate was serving a seven-year sentence in Willich prison, near the town of Dusseldorf, and was due out in 2011.

A police spokesman said: “Shortly after the truck that he was riding in got beyond prison walls, he slit open the box and then cut open the truck’s tarpaulin to escape.

“I’ve never seen anything like this.”

Police have been searching in vain for the fugitive since last week, he said.

The escape happened after the prisoner ended a shift where he was making stationery.

Instead of joining his jailmates, he climbed into the box which was then taken away along with a number of other boxes by the courier firm.

Soon after leaving the grounds, the prisoner cut a hole in the tarpaulin of the lorry and made his getaway.

His escape was only spotted after the truck driver noticed the slash in the tarpaulin – he immediately alerted the prison authorities.

An Australian holiday resort will hold a month-long, nude “anything goes” party to combat an expected economic downturn, media reports said on Thursday.

“Tough economic times call for stiff measures,” Tony Fox, the owner of the White Cockatoo resort in Mossman, in tropical Queensland state, told the Courier-Mail newspaper.

“It will be a hedonism resort, where anything goes for a month. It doesn’t take rocket science to work out what it means,” Fox said, naming March as the risque party month.

The controversial “clothes optional” resort made headlines three years ago when police were called to end partner-swapping parties after a swathe of public complaints.

“You’ve got to wonder what sort of people go and why. Where is the moral code of behaviour and how do you stop jealousies and fights?” Cairns Catholic Bishop James Foley said after Fox’s announcement.

But local regional Mayor Val Schier said she was not opposed to the event as long as no laws were broken.

“People in tropical north Queensland are extraordinarily creative,” Schier said. “It is tough economic times and as long as it is with consenting adults, then there is no problem.”

Australia’s tourism in industry is being hit hard by global economic turmoil with official figures showing a 7.6 percent decline in overseas visitors in September.

Industry leaders expect holiday bookings may drop by up to a third in early 2009 and are planning a new international advertising campaign to coincide with blockbuster movie “Australia” starring Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman.

Fox said his resort was almost fully booked for the month-long rainforest party.

I’m really thinking bout a new job at the minute! I mean I get so many emails a day to numerous email accounts we have in this place, telling me to use the Google ATM, or become a Google Millionaire, that I may just have to take them up on that offer HAHA! Also surfing the few blog sites I go on, there are loads of traffic generator websites! What the hell! Might sign up for them too

So it’s almost been a week since the last update, apart from the few posts below which I thought I’d brighten up the blog with

So last Tuesday went to the gym for a chest session, and managed to literally break my own body I’ve already got a dodgy wrist from playing in net during 5-a-side 2 fridays ago, and all was going well, body was beginning to hurt as per usual, until we went on the “Pec Deck”  Didnt go too heavy as my arms felt like lead anyway, but  bringing it in, I felt my shoulder/left arm suddenly pull! Like a dick I continued a little, but then felt the pain get more and more so stopped.  Got home and watched some telly, before trying to go to sleep.

Now I do love my gaming on the x-box but I think this is a little extreme myself! I know some people are hardcore gamers, and they get too into games, as I’ll admit to having done at one point with COD 4 but finding this on the Yahoo UK news site made me go a bit

Gears of War 2, the Xbox 360′s flagship game this Christmas, might have had a fair few punters queuing up to buy it early last Friday morning. But this was nothing compared to the hordes that turned out for the launch of Wrath of the Lich King, the latest chapter of hugely popular online fantasy game World of Warcraft.
