A While back I had a debate with Lee and Fee over which was the best browser, and I’ve even had it recently with Smash and Maddsy. Well for ages (before I started using Blogexplosion) The stats didn’t lie and it was the Ghey IE that was the most popular browser for visitors, but the more popular my blog has become lately, the more Firefox users have been visiting
List below of top browsers since I added Google Analytics in June 2007
1. Internet Explorer51.75% 2. Firefox45.35% 3. Opera0.91% 4. Safari0.88% 5. Chrome0.34% 6. SeaMonkey0.18% 7. Mozilla0.14% 8. Netscape0.14% 9. Playstation Portable0.08% 10. Camino0.07% 11. Having seen the Firefox light a year ago, I wish I had switched sooner. Laziness and complacency are the only things keeping IE on top.
I use either Mozilla or Safari myself. I’ve been enjoying your blog via BlogExplosion and was wondering if you would like to exchange blogroll links with my blog Full Nerd.
My url is http://gofullnerd.blogspot.com/
Andy. I think you’re right, but no doubt once Chrome is up and running that will start taking over. IE is currently playing catch up with Firefox I reckon, and all the plug-ins and add-ons make FF a much better internet browsing experience
David. I’ll add your link shortly mate. Thanks for the comments
Wow, I had never even heard of some of thise browsers. I use Safari- it’s not too popular?
I know Safari is used on macs mainly, but I’m sure there is a PC version.
IE is clearly the best still, I mean…you know? *Bauuuuuw*
I’ve tried and tried to like Firefox but I just cant change from IE.
i agree with andy: laziness and not knowing what’s out there (especially better browsers) means ie will dominate most visits. damn you jerry seinfeld – oh wait, he got cut didn’t he
Yeah I tend to agree with that way of thinking. Specially as there are so many more browsers out there at the minute i.e. Chrome etc, that people are just thikning.. IE’s worked for this long why change it
coincidence or not, on the very same day (14th Oct) I wrote a blog post on the very same lines. check it out…

Hmmm how strange
I’ll have a wander over then mate
Firefox for me. I just love being able to customize it.
I tried Chrome for snicks. Couldn’t give up the FF that is built for what I need.
I’m a Chrome convert. I love the simplicity of it. Before that, I was a Firefox guy. IE is for suckers.
I’ve noticed also that the more tech-savvy the audience, the lower the share of IE visitors. On our church’s website, we’re at about 70% IE. On my personal site, the Firefox users are much more common.
I love firefox, and have been recently using the beta version. its soooo fast!
I prefer Firefox myself due to all the nice applications.
Its been more than a month now and i have decided to check out the data for chrome visits to my website, will write a post soon.
In case you have forgotten about me, I have a comment above on similar post I had written
