Its been a mixed bag really this week.  Not been to the gym, as a result of trying to save a bit of money, as I’ve suddenly gone from weekly to monthly wages, and Mark said he’d help me out if I needed it, and It’d come out of my wages at the end of the first month, but I’m really trying to do it without the help.  I may end up asking for a few hundred to tide me over towards the end of the month, when I have car insurance and other things going out, but we’ll see.  Better thahn borrowing from the “Royal Bank of Mum and Dad”  Plus the fact John couldn’t make it Monday as he was football training, and then Tuesday I decided against it, and then Wednesday he couldnt go.  Monday me and Maddsy sent Smash over to the chippy to get us some dinner, and like the fool I was I gave him a £5 note.  Maddsy gave him the correct money, and so my £5 covered mine and smash’s dinner.  Thus there was no change for Wiggy!!   Took a day for me to get my change, after much abusing.  He’s had this milk bottle full of 2 and 1 pence peices, and so I heard him empty it and start counting.  I ended up with £3 in 2 pence peices!!! Unimpressed was not the word to describe it, but I told him that I shall have my vengance

On the Wednesday morning I’d walked to work, cos I knew they were starting roadworks down Barringer Road, and the last thing I wanted was to be stuck in the traffic or something, so just thought “Sod It” and walked in the drizzle.  If anything the walk woke me up for a bit, altho around 3pm I suddenly felt drained of any energy, and ended up having a strong coffee or two from the Cappuccino machine at work :D Got a missed call from our Lewi, and then a text asking what time I’d be home.  Told him I’d be walking, but would be leaving in about 10 minutes (leaving work bout 5:20ish)  He said he was also walking over to mine.  Turns out he’d been to do his CS, and as it was in Mansfield thought he’d pop round for a cuppa and maybe a lift home (I knew that lift home bit was coming)  Anyway with England due to play later that night, I had a bit of a chat with him, and sorted one or two bits out, before heading over to Rainworth to take him back.  On the way I decided to pull into Tesco, as I doubt I’d have made it much further in the car, as the petrol light had been on since Monday (Even tho I’d only been to work and back) But I’m always really anxious when I see the light come on, and never feel confident going far cos everyone will laugh when I “Do a Mark” and run out of petrol! Used to be a time at work, when he thought it’d be fun to run out of petrol down by the motorway or something, which lead Trev or Maddsy to go to his aid  Funny times!! Anyway pull into the petrol station, and pull behind this car that I recognised.  Turned out it was Zoe and her dad.  I was quite amused, as was our Lewi, to see her wrestling with the petrol pump, trying to get the nozzle back in it’s station, along with trying to get a receipt out of the machine! Meanwhile her dad seemed to be struggling to get the petrol cap on! All in all quite a funny moment, specially when I gave the engine a bit of a rev to get Zoes attention, only for her dad to turn round, and then ask her if I was that lad she worked with    As our Lew said… “Bet she feels a bit silly now!!” hahaha!

Was tempted to nip and see my parents, but decided against it and came straight home.  Later that night I got a call asking if I’d been over, as they’d been to the White Post Farm pub for their tea  and that I would have been welcome to go visit.  Good job i didn’t decide to go over really! My plan was to go round, get fed, then come home and watch the England match whilst chatting to a few people on msn and keeping them company!! :P    Before the England game I decided to throw the £3 worth of 2p’s into my big penny jar, and then emptied it, and counted it.  Turns out I have the best part of £16 in coppers, the majority of being in 1ps!!

The England result was awesome! To be the first team to beat Croatia in a competitive game in their own back yard, after they’d beat us twice in Euro 2008 qualification, it was great to see us turn it on.  I’ll stick my neck out here, and say I didnt think we played much different from how we did against the Andorrans, but the fact that the Crotatians were more intent on attacking than throwing men behind the ball meant that Englands probing moves pulled off, rather than hitting a blue wall.  Still to win 4-1 had the England fans in raptures over in Zagreb, and they were singing long after the final whistle.  No idea if they were kept behind to stop any trouble, or they just chose to stay behind till they were kicked out or something

Thursday was my catch up on my American TV Drama night.  Two episodes of Prison Break (As I’d forgot last weeks was a double episode) and also an episode of One Tree Hill!  I’m not going to go into anything that happens in either, cos I know someone who will read this is wanting to know what happens in OTH!  All I will say is both shows had me going WTF and I’m well and truly hooked on Prison Break again! I’d forgotten all about Lost, and will have to pick that up soon once I’ve seen all the PB and OTH seasons they’re doing :D   Had a missed call from Joe late thursday night, and then he sent me a text, basically saying that he hoped that it was still my number, and that he’d had to charge up his battery, and was going for a spin, and heading towards Mansfield, and wondered wether he could nip round for 5 or something.  Like a fool I forgot to reply, and then bout 10 minutes later he was knocking on my door.  Was nice to have a chat with him, and made me realise that it’s not his fault everything kicked off, or that his sister suddenly decided to blank me, and thus I’ve re-added him on facebook.

Today I’ve spent most of the day over Bulwell way.  Since Zoe had “a rush of blood to the head” as Mark said, and decided to apply for another job, I’ve been down with Mark and Craig having a few meetings, as I’m now gonna take over her job doing the marketing, and sorting our blogs and stats out, which is something I enjoy as a few people close to me know with the amount of time I seem to spend looking at my stats for this blog    So I’ve been over to chat with Neil and Steve @ eventure just to try and find a bit more info out about how we can raise awareness of the new hire part of the business :D   Gonna look forward to this I’ll admit.  Tomorrow I’m off to Manchester to set up a hire job, only problem being me leaving Mansfield bout 6am! I could have stayed up there till bout 6 when I have to take it down, but think I’ll head back home, and then have a few hours in bed, before heading back over there :)

For a while I’ve had been a member on this blogexplosion, but never actually done anything about it.  These last few days I’ve decided to start looking at other peoples blogs, and some of them are interesting, and I’ve blogmarked them on the site, to have another read of soon, and I’ve noticed my hits are starting to come :) I do hope some of them come back, and it’d be nice to have a comment or two from anyone who reads this :)
