What a weekend it’s been to be honest! Friday at work was very quiet indeed, as Dory, Cadden and Mark were off using their holidays, and Lee had gone down to Modified Nationals to drop off the Maxxd Marquees and flags and things, and show one or two of the intelligent members how to put up the flags
There was still work to be done, and we managed to get it all done and out of the way, as just cos no-one was at work didnt mean all play and no work
Lee got back to work bout 5ish, after being sat behind “Almost every twating caravan in the country” coming back up the A1 HAHAHA!
Left work and chilled out in the bath for a bit before getting ready to head over to Lucy’s for her “Just finished Uni” Party. Got ready a bit quicker than I thought, so decided to head over to Rainworth anyway, and surprise my uncle Mick and aunty Ann. Had a nice chat with our Mick and Ann, and asked wether or not it’d be ok for me to leave my car outside theirs possibly for the night, and they said that was fine (once they’d got over the initial shock of a visit from me
) Made the short walk over to Lucy’s armed with a bottle of wine for her (always safe to buy wine as a present I thought hehe) Was great to see her, and was greeted by her brothers Simon and Gav and Simon’s girlfriend. Not seen any of them for sooo good damn long it’s untrue!! Had a bit of a chat with Lucy until some of her mates started trickling in, and that left me and Si having a good catch-up chat about what we’ve been upto in the last few years and that. After initially turning down the offer of a beer or two, as I was unsure wether to drive home or not, i succumbed to peer-pressure and started to sink a few. Pete turned up, and I wasn’t too sure if he recognised me, as I’d met him a few times when out with Ryan and that, and Webbo and Butch were also there, so in the end all the lads ended up in the kitchen talking football and lads holidays. Only pausing when one of the girls came in and they were met with silence
After a while their uncle Phil turned up and so had a chat with him also. Bout half 1 people began making themselves scarce, so me and Phil headed off as we were going the same way anyway. This was after Webbo had decided to give me the longest man hug since brokeback mountain!! Was great to catch up with him.
Was woken up bout 6ish by my dad, checking wether or not I’d come back to stay the night, and I couldnt really get back to sleep after that! So felt hanging all morning! Walked down to our Micks to pick my car up, then got our Stef and we headed off to Derby for his Passport interview. Took a nice steady drive down the A38 and got there in plenty of time, so we had a bit of a walk around Derby mainly so our Stef could find a Macdonalds! Managed to see the biggest loaf of bread EVER, which I have a photo of once I can get it off my phone! Turned out Hovis were doing a promotion for their softest ever bread of something, and were handing every man and his dog a loaf of bread, so I made sure I walked past and got myself a loaf! Also bought 2 vests ready for my holiday (or the gym) Had a conversation with Lucy not that long ago about how the passport and identity places were set up, but from what she’s aware of, NO-ONE has been declined for a passport
proved to be the same with our Stef!! Why the hell have they let him have a passport
On the way back we nipped into McArthur Glen, so I could have a Burger King and nip and see John. John had been out down Sheffield or something friday night with Dan, and defo looked the worse for wear!! Suppose that comes from getting in at 5 in the morning, and being at work for 9 after a night on the pop
Bought a white long sleeved top, and then headed off to my mum and dads to drop Stef off. Ended up monged out on the settee watching the qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix for a bit and then headed off home to chill out. Watched the Hull City vs Bristol City game, and it was a cracking goal from Dean Windass that took Hull City into the Premiership! Out of the teams battling it out in the play-offs, Hull & Doncaster were the 2 I wanted promoted! Wasn’t too fussed bout the league 2 one. After watching the celebrations I started to get ready for Si Overton’s little BBQ get together and Hatton fight. Sami text me from out the blue again saturday! Do get quite confussed there! Sometimes she’ll chat to me quite often, then goes 2 weeks or more without saying a word
Nipped to shop to get a few J2O’s and then headed over to Rainworth AGAIN! Spent more time there this weekend than anywhere else
Walked through Si’s door and was met by his 2 massive dogs!! Walked into the front room and noticed that there was 3 or 4 old school mates that I had not seen, well since school really! Baring in mind it was a good 12 years ago, no one had really changed all that much, and so we all had a good chat and catch up and that. Simon Jones and Si Overton had me in stitches all night with their antics. Neither of them have changed since school, and are both always trying to be the joker! After feeling like I’d been struck down with food poisoning Ian Riley turned up. We all chilled in the front room once it’ started to get a bit nippy outside and all got comfy ready for the Hatton fight. A few of us chucked a quid onto the floor and named our round, with me thinking Hatton will wear him down ready for an 8th round KO. Wasn’t to be, but credit to that other youth, who had a bloody good chin. One shot Hatton caught him with was so good, Si rewound it on his Sky + and we watched it in slow-mo! The blokes ear was wobbling for a good second after
I was so envious of the Dickie brothers and also Daz who’d got tickets to be in the 55,000 + crowd, who never stopped making a noise! Once one or two folks left, I made my way home bout midnight.
Sunday was basically a chill out day again, after a bit of a lie in. Watched the dirty Leeds United lose in the Play-offs AGAIN which I found amusing. The day had soon passed me by, and then I was getting ready to go and meet John and some of his mates in the Badger Box for a Bank Holiday sunday night out! whilst waiting for Orwin and Matt, we decided to have some snap, along with my new favourite J2O… Apple and Raspberry = Gorgeous!! Stayed in there for a few before we headed into town bout 9ish. Picked Day up on the way, and it was quite funny as Orwin had called Shotgun, so we had 3 tall lads in the back of the car! It looked SO uncomfy it’s untrue HAHAHA!Dropped the 4 of them off outside 53, whilst I went and parked up the car in my usual place
Met them upstairs in 53, and seemed to bump into aload of people! Including Lee Taylor drunk always, Jay “Chip Cob” Coupe from Sutton RS days, so had a chat with him about football last season, when RS won the league AGAIN!! Loads of other people out that I knew from various teams, school through other people and that. From 53 we headed into Andwhynots, where Bagi and Wayniac appeared and then buggered off again 2 minutes later
From there we went to Wetherspoons and met up with Will and more of Johns mates. Ended up in Liquid that night, and it was a decent night to be honest. Mansfield was rammed as per usual, and there were one or two little skirmishes. Beaver was his usual sociable self! Saw me so many times walking round Liquid or Wetherspoons on his own, randomly talking to everyone! Sure he just goes out on his own yet seems to know every man and his dog (or missus ha!) On the way back we thought we’d nip to Macdonalds, but it was shut much to mine, John and Orwins dissapointment haha! Orwin suddenly started going on about how Kate Garraway from GMTV would get it, and is a proper MILF
And told us to make sure we check her out on the website or something. Also he mentioned having a crisp sandwich, so once I’d got home I decided to make one whilst watching the start of a DVD till I fell asleep!
Nipped to my mum and dads monday morning, cos my dad wanted to put some Monty Python onto his IPOD, as I had the box set, and gave my mum a bit of washing that I couldnt get any stains out of, as punishment from not being there in my half hour of need sunday night, when I was getting very frustrated with the iron and the shirt I wore out
Called into Tesco on the way home, and got myself some Milk and treated myself to The Matrix box-set! Spent the rest of the day chilling out on msn whilst having a Matrix marathon! Once that had done I was flicking between movies, whilst chatting to Lucy, Kay and Emzi
Hopefully should have a busy weekend next weekend too, when I’ve been invited out to Sheffield on the friday night, and Chesterfield on the saturday night! Shall see what happens

ugly head ?
yeah you have an ugly head! :p
