Todays lesson is UK Geography

Thats right boys and girls! Maddsy is taking his very own Geography class yesterday  And what a class it was! It involved a map of the UK which I’d re-drawn for him a while back, with all the postcode areas drawn on. Anyway… he’d had enough with the Isle of Mann, so decided it was to be deleted from the map  This was also done for Northern Ireland. Then was the great part! Using a blank map, we basically played pin the town in the right place  To be fair we aint done too bad when placing a different map on top, and have only moved Nottingham about 20 miles further East and things  Also we were trying to piece together an hour and a half of his saturday night, when he was aimlessly wandering from pub to club to bar trying to find all us lot HAHAHA.

Nipped top see my mum and dad after the usual monday night chest session at the gym, in which I had Caz waving at me from her exercise bike  Had a laugh with John and Blaine, who it turns out decided to go for an Indian bout 2 in the morning on sunday after a night round Notts for Orwins birthday, and it turns out Blaine had already had a chip cob, to go with the remains of some other blokes meal, as well as his own!!! The guy is a human dustbin. Looking like I’m going on holiday with my mother and father and Stef bout 14th June WHOOOO!! Some time to have some fun in the sun for free :D

Jagermeister & Red Bull = ERROR!!

So it’s been a bit of a fun weekend to be honest, altho sunday was not a good day

Anyhow… Left work thursday night and headed over to Johns to drop my car off, only to get a call once I was on my way, asking if I could pick him up from Caz’s House. Got there to find that we were gonna have to drive over to my house, to drop me off, and then John would drive it back  All in all a stressful enough task baring in mind it was mis-firing, and there was very little petrol in it hahaha! Once the posing sod had dropped me off I spent the rest of the night watching me some telly, and generally arsing about on the internet.

Need sleep!!!

So having moaned about a distinct lack of sleep lately, I decided to use the Science America link Atom sent me, and found one or two articles about sleep deprivation and things like that. Altho I think i’m the opposite of some of what the studies are claiming

The first article was on about being able to catch up on lost sleep, and the myth that if you lose a few hours friday night, you can gain them back by lying in sunday morning or something

Let’s do some sleep math. You lost two hours of sleep every night last week because of a big project due on Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, you slept in, getting four extra hours. Come Monday morning, you were feeling so bright-eyed, you only had one cup of coffee, instead of your usual two. But don’t be duped by your apparent vim and vigor: You’re still carrying around a heavy load of sleepiness, or what experts call “sleep debt”—in this case something like six hours, almost a full nights’ sleep.

Read more here

Reading that I think i’ve lost about 6 weeks in the last year and a half or something    There was a link also to another scientific study that claims sleep deprivation is tied into shifts in hunger hormones :? Upon reading, they claim that the more  sleep you lose, the hungrier you become, linking a lack of sleep with weight gain! Well I can say that I’m the opposite of that!! The more tired I feel the less likely I am to eat :(

Not getting enough shut-eye could be interfering with your ability to shed unwanted pounds. Previous research has shown that sleep could be a key regulator of body weight and metabolism. New findings link changes in two important appetite-regulating hormones to the amount of sleep people regularly get.

Then the last article is on about hos the less sleep we get. the more the dreams seem like reality, and the more dreams we get!

About three years ago Eva Salem got into some trouble with a crocodile. It snapped her hand in its jaws. In a panic, she managed to knock out the crocodile and free herself. Then, she woke up.

Well I may have loads of dreams, but can never remember them, so just make out I dont have any it’s easier    Thats enough from the geeky side of Wiggy hahaha!!

Last night I could have nipped to the gym, but would rather only use my car for work till Friday when it’s going in for a full service, which it deserves having done just over 3000 miles, Hoping to drop the car off straight after the gym tonight, and leave it for Johns dad to sort out for me :D   Watched the latest One Tree Hill, and it gets better, and sat chatting to Em for a bit winding her up, as she’s not seen Season 5 yet    All in all a very boring night to be honest

Well imagine that…

The day wasn’t going too bad.  In the office it felt warm to say the least!!  Altho Captain Air-Con has returned to his very best.  Complaining that the air-con on the other side of the room was giving him a chilling shoulder, altho on the upside he said he wanted the other one plugged in, which points towards me    So it wasn’t all that bad.  Wasn’t till late in the day our great leader turned up, looking a little worse for wear, after his weekend escapades over in Newcastle for the Chelsea game    Think it was about 9:10am, by the time Zoe came upto me and moaned that it was hot up in our office! When she’s sat in a bloody cardigan and top!! Women HAHAHA

Bagi thought it’d be really amusing to text me and tell me that he was finishing work bout 1ish, and that he was going to sit in a beer garden, so after toying with the thought for a minute, I decided that I wanted to see him stung by a swarm of angry wasps as retribution for trying to wind me up, and it’s not something Moorey would have done! Cue text from Moorey not long after saying he was gonna text me a link to an online shop, where he saw the perfect t-shirt for me, and had it been near my birthday he’d have bought it for me  bless him

Anyway here is the link he sent me (to the actual T-Shirt, which he said would have been easy to spot) Lush T-Shirts Had a look round their site, and there are a few others that are quite good too    Went pretty much straight from work over to the gym, and upped the ante so to speak.  Lifting more than I did last week, and we had a good chat between me, John and Blaine bout this and that.  Got to one point, and I couldn’t lift anything! My arms just felt dead :(   Been toying with the idea of selling the Tegra now, and getting something cheaper, and using some of the money to pay off my loan and things, so gonna see where that takes me.  Last night the car was working fine on the way to Kirkby, but on the way back it started fucking up again!! So need to get in touch with Scott and see what he reckons.  I know it’s due a service, so may get in touch with John and let his dad give it a full service and that.

Got home, and was that tired I had a huge headache, but ended up chatting to Emzi on msn for half the night, whilst watching a film or two on Sky movies.  As usual the True Faith gang had me in stitches!! Mainly with their report on the Chelsea fans on their Level 7 feature…

What a sorry bunch. Probabaly the most annoying following to make the journey up from the cramped and polluted capital of our wonderful country. For a change, they took a full allocation of seats but failed to sell a good proportion. However, the songs they sing lack almost as much imagination as our home crowd.

I learnt a couple of things from this match. First of all, apparently we’ve “never won fack all”. No, I’ve got no idea what fack means either. Also, now this bit made my legs go all wobbly with confusion (an unfortunate condition, as I’m always confused hence always wobbly legged). Apparently, we “can’t speak facking Anglish.” Hillarious in their would you Adam and Eve it, Jellied eels, Peggy Mitchell accents.

I really hope this lot come away with nothing at the end of the season. It’s a sad state of affairs when you find yourself cheering on Man Utd. when 10 years ago we were their main rivals. But I’d much rather a decent footballing side won as opposed to a bunch of acrobatic anti-football fairies.

Well populated away end, pish support.

4 out of 10.

Happy summer.

Keep On, Keepin’ On …

Steve Farrell

Ed: We’ve won the Championship more times than they have and we’ve won the FA Cup more than they have. We won a European trophy before they did as well. And we did it all with our own money.

QUALITY as per usual lads  Keep it up for next season

Sat at home minding my own business last night, and I got an email from Facebook.  Upon inspection it turns out our Lewi IS clever enough to use a computer and signed up    He rang me moments later telling me he was going through my friends list adding people he knew and things hahaha!  Don’t take much to impress him I suppose!

The Weekend has come and gone…

Thanks to one of the links on the blogrush widget, I came across this random video from a website Web White Noise

Man Trapped in Lift!!

Must admit I’ve enjoyed reading a few blogs that have appeared on there, and also on the Blogupp widget! Quite impressed with them

So anyway.. I’ve been up to pretty much nothing this while bank holiday weekend. Having no money has limited my options, but the fact that I seem so tired all the time too has not helped matters one little bit :(

The dormant scientist in me awakes…

Has been awoken by Smash Harry at work today

He showed me this website that I’ll post in a minute, and they were going on about robotic suits, like the ones used in the new Ironman film, so I got him to send me a link, and from there I’ve been looking at some strange but true science stories! Quite intriguing to be honest :D

The prospect of slipping into a robotic exoskeleton that could enhance strength, keep the body active while recovering from an injury or even serve as a prosthetic limb has great appeal. Unlike the svelt body armor donned by Iron Man, however, most exoskeletons to date have looked more like clunky spare parts cobbled together.

Also I found the article about how “Bad weather Makes for a long day” to be found HERE

I’m just a geek at heart!! Really missed the days at school when I’d be in Miss Jacksons maths class rattling off previous years maths exams in an hour, when they’re 2 1/2 hours long, and still getting great marks in them! Hell I remember doing my Maths and Science exams in about half the alloted time!! And I came out of them double papers with B’s in all of them! Maybe looking back I’m regretting not putting the effort in when I started 6th form, with my A-Level Physics, and who knows what could have been!! :(   And dont say “I told you so” when you get round to reading this mother HAHAHAHA!!

Facebook Danger HAHA!

So you can picture the scene.  Wiggy is sat at his computer at home minding his own business, and he gets a message on facebook.  Only turns out to be DAVID ELLIS! Jesus.  Not seen the bloke since he decided he’d had enough here, and was gonna pursue his dreams of selling toys to little runts in Sutton    Seems the world is smaller than we thought too! Turns out he was on Bobbys page, someone he has known for many years, and saw my ugly mug! Then after a bit more digging he found out I knew 2 more of his old primary school mates…. Bagi and Moorey HAHAHA!! Told him when he used to work here, I knew some proper delinquents, and turns out as I’ve got older and played footy for more and more teams I’ve gotten to know a lot more!!!

The Bank Holiday has almost landed…

So since the last up-date I aint really been upto much.  If i’m honest I really cant be arsed to do much.  Just feeling so tired all the time at the minute, and it’s just annoying.  I have watched 2 cracking games of football in the space of two days tho!!  The first one being the “boring” Champions League Semi-Final between Chelsea and Liverpool, that turned out to be a proper cracker (Maybe Benitez will decide NOT to slag Drogba off in the press next time) and last night altho I missed most of the game, I caught the back-end of the 90 minutes of the Fiorentina vs Rangers UEFA Cup Semi-Final.  I think Fiorentina deserved to go through on the back of their attacking play, and thought they had the incentive, specially once Cousins decided to headbutt one of their players, and mean Rangers finished the game with 10 men    But unlike the english, the scots kept their head in the penalty shoot-out, which means there will be Russians and Glaswegians converging on The City of Manchester Stadium later this month.

In other news… The car aint running too bad at the minute, and I was gonna go to the gym last night, but John as out in town for his brothers birthday, so instead I chilled out and watched the first 2 films of the Bourne Trilogy, whilst texting Sami, before switching over to the Rangers game.  Ended up asleep in bed just after 10, once the penaltied had finished, and for once I slept through all the way till the alarm went off bout 7.45!! First decent nights sleep for a week or two, and I feel worse for it

Bobby is still uploading the videos from the End of Season presentation, and they’re making me laugh soo much! Think I may have to add some of the funnier ones to a page on here, If i get Bobby’s say so.  Tonight I’m gonna go play footy with Teddy and them lot, and then I have very little planned over the weekend, apart from maybe hit Mansfield sunday night, with it being a bank holiday weekend and all that :D   Other than that I think it’s gonna be watching as much Live football as I can HAHA!
