So friday me and John were chatting about going to play football that night, only to find cos of the stupid Donny Show, Teddy had cancelled it! BASTARD!! So Maddsy went on his merry way over to the Donny Show to help set up the House of Kolor marquee, and have a general nosey round (He may as well have booked the day off work  ) and we had a nice delivery of cloth to sort out in his absence! The Voyeur one was being quite quiet, apart from when Dory said something to me, as he was comingup the stairs, and I heard a quiet “Just shut up” Friday night was spent chilling out again like normal, even tho Bagi kept pressuring me to go out for an hour, I really couldnt be arsed if I’m honest. Going through another “cant really sleep” few weeks and its slowly catching up with me I think :( Kept chatting with Adi on facebook, and we’re getting on like a house on fire at the minute, she’s great

Despite going to bed at some ungodly hour, I managed to drag my carcass out of bed and into work for about half 8, so I can sort out as much of the artwork and things for next week, basically to make everyones life a little easier. People who work here, or have in the past, know that Geoffrey can’t stand it when I am not at my desk doing things he wants me to, and you can normally tell when he wants things, cos he’ll ask me if I want a drink, and then mention that there are design & quotes in the tray, that need to be done today so they can order (think the ratio is 90:1 on people actually ordering that same day, or in the following 2 or 3 days  So to save him bitching to Maddsy and Mark about “Why aint Mick chained to his desk, when I have crucially important designs & quotes to do?” I’ll keep coming in on Saturdays whilst its busy at work (guessing most of the summer) Managed to sort alot of stuff out, and then left bout half 11, ready to go and watch the Arsenal vs Liverpool game. HOw gutted was I from a fantasy league point of view, that Torres and Gerrard were both “rested” ahead of their massive Champions League game later this week :( The game was still a good one, but I need to score points in the closing few weeks, to try and catch Teddy (cos I know Maddsy wont catch me now MWAHAHAHA)

Sat watching Soccer Saturday with Jeff Stelling and the boys after that, and saw the Stags race into a 2 goal lead early in the 2nd half, only to be pegged back at 2-2! Was a crucial result, given that County had lost to Bury at the same time, so now there is only 3 points in it with games running out fast. At the same point, the KK revolution continued with a 3rd straight win :D Wooooooooooooooooo!!! Things are starting to look like they’re on the up. Massive game down at Pompey next weekend, followed by a visit from the folks over in the Village of the Damned  4 points from them games, and we can sit back and enjoy the remaining few games for sure :D Tried to help Nemma use Corel Photopaint, using only m memory, cos she wanted to save an image as a JPEG, and I was trying to think of ways why that wasn’t possible, but we sorted it in the end didnt we Nemma :D

Match Report from True Faith.

Three victories on the trot? Flowing, attacking football? Love pouring down from the terraces? We should get ourselves threatened with relegation more often (well actually, no we shouldn’t, but you see my point!).

We lined up with Edgar replacing Taylor but otherwise unchanged from the team that gave Spurs their annual towsing and for whatever reason, it was good to see Taylor given a break as he has looked well off it of late. Early on, Reading looked like they were going to give us a real game and they were the better side for the first quarter of an hour. Despite constantly looking like a vagrant, Stephen Hunt looked very tidy and they looked to play football, promising an attacking and open game. It was slightly against the run of play therefore when we got the first goal but what a cracker it was. Oba took a long ball from Butt down brilliantly, leaving a lumbering Rosenior for dead with his first touch before calmly rounding the keeper and finishing. As unpredictable as he can be, Martins gives us pace that we otherwise lack and goals like this show what a quality player he can be.

From there on in, we were well on top. Reading made a couple of half chances not long after the goal but there was no real urgency to their play and you get the feeling that the sides supposedly struggling actually know that the bottom three at the minute are all but down. Enrique, who is improving game by game put over a good ball and Hahnemann saved well from Owen’s header, which seemed to be in slow motion. Owen looked dangerous throughout and shifting him a bit deeper seems to have ignited a spark with him as his body language is completely different than it was under (‘Are you watching’) Big Fat Sam. He got his fourth in four games just before the break with a lovely dinked finish after being played in by our other impressive full back, Beye. It was a classy finish all round and we seem to have got into the habit of scoring goals just before half time – long may it continue!

The second half saw us the most comfortable we’ve looked all season, cruising at two up and really passing the ball around. Unbelievable when you think where we were a month ago and all the more enjoyable for it. Egged on by the crowd, we put about thirty passes together before Owen was stopped by the keeper in what would have been our goal of the season but we didn’t have to wait long for a third, which stemmed from another great passing move. Beye played Viduka through to add the finish but the build up was a million miles away from the stuff we’ve been used to this season – slick, fast, to feet – great to watch and when played this well, totally effective to boot. We could have had a couple more late on – Martins, Barton and Duff all bringing saves out of Hahnemann but we settled for our biggest home victory of the season and the applause and general outpouring of happiness at the final whistle was almost reminiscent of the good old days.

Of course we can’t get carried away. The season has been a total write off and Reading were average at best (especially as I’m delighted to say, TF figure of fun Dave Kitson who spent the bulk of his totally ineffectual afternoon attempting a bizarre mid air backheel, which still hadn’t worked by the fifth time) but there were positives to be found all over the pitch. To give begrudging credit to an increasingly bitter and irritating Allardyce, the two full backs look good buys and Enrique especially is making rapid improvement. Edgar hardly put a foot wrong after some good shifts for the stiffs of late and in the middle, Barton continues to get better if no quicker and Butt was just immense and was, in my opinion robbed of the Man of the Match bubbly. Add to this the fact that all three of the attackers got on the score-sheet and looked happier and (fingers crossed) fitter than they have all season and there is plenty to smile about. No one is under the illusion that we don’t have to make the right moves in the summer and strengthen the squad, but the belief certainly seems to be back and for that, Keegan can take all the credit and enjoy lobbing up a well deserved two fingers to the miscreants and shit stirrers that have had him down as a failure waiting to happen as safety, his first mission, is achieved.

Keep the Faith

Saturday evening I went round to see my mother and borrow some money, as i’d been slightly dense and forgot to pay my rather large phone bill on my credit card, so I had some money in my account, only to find with the due date being Sunday, it went out on the Saturday instead  Was gutted to find they were at Currys or something, and they’re come back with a nice new flat screen telly! HOW JEALOUS AM I!! Helped my dad set up the stand, cos my mother was being a cheap-skate, and wouldnt fork out an extra £200 for the wall brackets (so you’re gonna be the one to clean Owens dirty hand prints on the telly then mother :P ) How rude that they wont buy me a new telly out of my inheritance HAHAHA! Given they bought me my current telly about 16 months ago when I moved back into my house  Raided their freezer, with the backing of my dad, who said it needs clearing out anyway  and then headed off home, to watch a few films on some of the random Sky Movies channels.

Got up sunday thinking it was gonna be a great day, but turned out the opposite  More on that in a minute. Got up nice and early, and nipped into work to pick up my digital camera, with the hope of getting some photos of us lot playing football, but am now glad I hardly got any…. we were in the worst kit imaginable  Got round to Maddsys and showed him the few photos Al had taken on his trip down to the Emirates to put up a 5m x 5m marquee, and he took one of Kieran at his snottiest, dirtiest best  which followed with me taking one of him enjoying his shortbread biscuits hahaha! got to football, and put the nets up, and generally fucked about until kick-off. The game went well with us winning 5-0, with all the goals coming in a great first half of football from our boys, apart from the dodgy centre-back who shall not be named (but it wasn’t nick  ) Maddsy “The Ego” scored from a volley, which seemed to be heading no-where, till it deflected up off the defender, and bounced into the bottom corner of the onion bag, a normal keeper (like me or sami) would have saved it no doubt  Some good football was being played and we got a few more good team goals, which will hopefully build confidence for the remaining 2 games of the season. With a bit of Luck Bobby and Jock will be starting the season as our midfield pairing, cos they were immense playing together (not in a gay way like bagi) in the middle. Didnt agree with the ratings given, and I’d personally have given Maddsy and Bobby an 8, and Sami a 6, as he seemed to be bladdered still  Including him running into a post, and his general play 2nd half was sloppy.

We are now unbeaten in 5 friendlies, lets hope we continue this form when the league games come back round.

Sami started in net, Moorey and Scotty were preferred upfront with Malc dropping to the right of midfield.

We started the game really well and our passing game is really coming on in recent weeks, we are not afraid to play the ball out from the back as a couple of goals today were a result of that.

We scored really early on to settle any nerves thanks to a volley from Maddsy, 5 minutes later we were 2 nil up after a Malc flick left Jock to finish home.

Mid-way through the half Annesley had a corner and although it was dealt with, our stand-in keeper Sami could’nt help but run into his own post (the girl lol).

We dominated the first half and scored a further 3 goals.

Half-time 5-0.

With the game all but over changes were made. Winty came on upfront, Scotty moved to rightback and Greg went in the nets.

The second half was an 50/50 affair, with both teams having chances, Winty on another day would have bagged a double hat-trick but found himself wasteful today. We took our foot off the gas in the second half, mainly do to the fact that every player was playing out of posistion, but the management would have learnt more from the 2nd half than the 1st.

Maddsy found his shot land wide when he should of done better with the keeper scrambling to get back to his net in the best chance of the second half.

Man of the Match – Scotty, an awesome performance, when upfront he bagged 2 goals and when at rightback he looked solid. Well done pal.

Nipped to the pub afterwards, and was gonna go watch the Minor Cup Final between Archer 703 and Rileys, but decided that I’d rather chill out at home, and watch the Man Utd game. Glad I did as it kept starting to snow, and I can imagine it got a bit cold outside. Well done to Archer 703 tho who won 3-1 a.e.t. Spoke to Bobby about the game sunday evening, and I laughed that half the football boys now read this, and it’s somewhat become a bit of an unofficial fanzine for the club  A place where comments aren’t moderated ;) And i can tell it how it is, without rose tinted glasses on  Spent the rest of the evening playing scrabble on facebook against maddsy. Got chatting to Luce Dickie, who I hadn’t spoken to for a while, and it’s always good catching up with her. She was feeling a little down, and I’d like to think I helped cheer her up, even if it did involve me beating her at scrabble  Also spent the night chatting to a certain someone on facebook again…I’m addicted hehehe

Nemma came on msn and asked why I had a link to an escort agency on the blog links page  Trust her to be the first person to click on it! Was from DJB sending me the link, as he’s been doing some work running their website and that, and so I thought I’d sneak it in there, and see if anyone clicked on it HAHAHA!
