So it all started on a cold and blustry Friday evening. Got home from work, and decided to go and partake in the maxxd footy. Started off in net, performing my usual heroics, but then got bored, specially once Alanman scored past me
So got one or two others to go in net for a bit. In my opinion it was a bit too busy that night, but still managed to put the ball past Coop twice, with brilliant finished (if i say so myself)
From there I got home to warm up, and had a blast on the xbox, whilst chatting to Bagi and one or two others on msn, and then decided to watch Save the last dance, and then Stomp the Yard. For some reason I was in a proper dance film mood! Maybe it was chatting to Bagi about the sat night we were about to endure.
Got up Saturday morning, and had a mess about on the 360 again, and tidied the house a little, before heading off to meet Bagi and Moorey over at McArthur Glen. Got myself some new Jeans, and 2 new tops, and wound Bagi up, cos I think his mum still buys his clothes, cos he is sooo indecisive it’s untrue!! Moorey was moping around like us fellas do when shopping with the missus, making it clear that he wanted to be at home or sommat
From McArthur Glen we buggered off into Mansfield, and we had a bit of fun down the A38
Before parking up I did a little lap or the circuit, then dropped the car off in the 4 Seasons car-park, and went to meet dumb and dumber. Did very little apart from mess about in town, filling in forms to win a BMW in 4 seasons, and taking the piss out of cinderella, who wasn’t allowed out with us that night
Got in, and watched some of Soccer Saturday, and started getting ready, cos Bagi had some hair-brained idea that meeting in town at 6 would be advantageous
Got a text saying he was leaving his house, and made my way into town. We had one or two drinks, whilst I somehow won £12 on the bandit, and then we made our way down to The Swan to meet up with Butler and his mate “The Milky-Bar Kid”
After a few drinks in there, and Butler appearing to not answer his phone, we headed upto Yates’s, where we met up with Diggler, his mate, and eventually Butler and co. After a few in there, we headed over to Cheeky Monkeys for a shot or two, and a beer, then The Bowl in Hand, which me and Bagi walked out of straight away, and headed into Marthas. Wasn’t long before the rest joined us. Bumped into Andy Butler in Marthas, and one or two other people I knew, then we nipped to Chicago, before they started queuing. Bloody beers were expensive in there. Had a great night bopping away on the little dance-floor bit, and bumped into a few more old footballing friends, and Olstars missus. Ended up dancing round on the stage, and managed to get a few decent photos, to go with one or two VERY odd ones
And about 2 Olstar did the very kind thing of giving me a lift home. Much appreciated mate.
Was woken up by Bagi texting me at 8 saying that he couldnt see straight, and I tried to go back to sleep for a bit, but it didnt really work, so I monged out on the settee watching some random film till I had to go to football. To be honest I felt alright, must have been the half a pizza I appeared to have eaten before I went to bed
Started at Right-back, which I’ll admit I enjoy playing more than Centre-Back, cos I can TRY and bomb forward, highlighted by my cross-cum-shot from the by-line, which the keeper did well to tip over, when it was just dropping in. After that it sort of went tits up, and Maddsy managed to complete 90 minutes (possibly due to us having only 1 sub, who came on for an injured Rob
) Ended up losing 3-0 and it’s safe to say that I was bollocksed after the game. Went round to my mums, and watched the Newcastle game, whilst eating my dinner, and was a bit annoyed at the first goal that was disallowed, as I dont feel Owen touched the keeper, and it’s frustrating that a goalkeeper drops the ball in the premiership, and it’s automatically a free-kick
Owen went on to score later in the game, but as always we couldnt quite find that 2nd goal to kill them off, and in the end we rode our luck, when they had a goal ruled out for offside!
Got home and had a bath, and then laying in bed, fell asleep from about 5pm till 2 in the morning, when I flicked on the telly, watched some random crap (forgetting about the SuperBowl that I really wanted to watch
) And struggled to get back to sleep after that! Apologies to Fee and Phil who tried to get in touch to see if I was going to the pub! But I felt like crap after footy, and obviously needed my sleep
