What a weekend !?!

Well lets start with something I forgot to mention I did on thursday…

Thursday morning I was trying to be clever on the blog, and ended up locking myself out! I did that good a job of fucking it up that I’d blocked all of admin! Not even DJB who was helping me try and sort it out could log in and change anything. After a bit of a think, I realised that I’d got this plugin called Bad Behavior installed, and it had blocked me  Pretty clever little plugin haha! I decided to delete the plugin through my ftp software, and low-and-behold I could get access again! So I learnt not to try and be clever cos it dont suit me

Now the update…

Friday morning was quite busy to be honest, cos I was trying to get a mass mailout ready to go, and we had to change the franking machine over once we had emptied the coffers on the old one, so me and Dee set about doing that. Bought myself 2 more domains names  chuffknows.co.uk and also wiggysworld.co.uk hehe! I need to stop talking to Rob! He’s a bad influence on me. Left work about 11:45 with Zoe running about trying to find files for certain customers, which she didnt actually need in the end *rollseyes*

The Aliens are coming!!!

First of all Happy Birthday to an old friend… literally an OLD friend  Happy 29th Birthday Emma Derner :P OK It may be 28th, but you’ll always be more senior than me ha ha ha. Hope you have a good one :D

Last night was a chilling one. Went on Forza 2 for a bit, had some chinese, and had a good chat with a few people on msn, including Jeff.. a.k.a Rob Butterworth. He was going on about his iphone in the pub on friday, and how it’s got all this alien technology, and its brilliant and all that, yet it’s the size of a dustbin lid. Also it aint got bluetooth sharing on it! You can have bluetooth headsets, but cant send files *rollseyes* Bloody Aliens… Cant get anything right!

An extract from Rob’s blog that made me chuckle….

My iTrip is working again, it’s been a bit tempermental because of the plastic Belkin case for my iPhone. I’m going to order a nice leather one from Proporta along with a Screen protector. I just need something to protect it when it’s in my bag. Fingerprint smears are starting to make me feel like shooting up a shopping center, I mean – finger prints on your iphone are more severe than getting fired but yanks feel the need it seems.

Had a nice chat with Emzi who I aint spoken to in a while, and we had a bit of a catch up! I must get myself over to Newark before Christmas and meet up for a drink with her and Hayley. After that I went to bed shattered. Wednesday night Bagi sent me a text saying “WAKE UP dude” which did the trick, and I couldnt really get back to sleep after that, so thanks Bagi! I knew he’s a one-trick poney, and so turned my phone offline over night, and when I turned it on this morning…. 3 text messages. 2 from Maddsy quoting crap from Borat! Never seen the film, and aint gonna make the effort to go out my way and watch it. And one from Bagi at 6 this morning saying… Yeah you guessed it “WAKE UP dude” *rollseyes*

Today is the day I go for some repair work on the old teeth, and not looking forward to it! Gotta have one out, and 2 fillings :?

Newcastle Article..

Read this on the BBC website LINK and agree with most of it in principle.  Maybe he’s gone a bit over the top with the whole “Shearer” thing    Why would he settle for Ant n Dec! ha ha.  As I have said before… I would love it if Newcastle won every game 4-3, but i’d also settle for the times when we scrape out a 1-0 win, and play similar to the way they did last night! Hustling opposition players into making mistakes.  The toon legend Peter Beardsley said last night that opinion seemed to be divided almost 50/50 as to what the fans would like to see.  Open games where we lose 4-3, but play the sort of cavalier football that we became most famous for under King Kev, or grind out results the same way that Big Sam became famous for with his Bolton team.  A physical team, that are comfortable on the ball, and willing to bleed for the team.  I’ll just settle for a Newcastle United that play nice attacking football, but are solid at the back.  Lets call it a combination of the two styles of play    Like I said in an earlier post, lets hope over these next 4 games, we can get behind Big Sam and the team, and turn St James’s Park back into the fortress it once was, where the fans will not only be a 12th man, but a 13th too :D

The managerial merry-go-round seems worse than ever.

Geordie friends have been joking darkly about the ‘last roll of the Allardyce’ and calling a Sambulance to take him away.

The only medical attention the big man will need is the surgical removal of a job lot of Wrigley’s Spearmint gum. What a masticator he is. They say he’s not a good manager but then how does he manage to chew all that, eh?

Me and Big Sam have a lot in common. We’re big and ugly and we like our players to keep it simple.

Many’s the time the Blue Bell first XI have begged me to let them play football on the grass. The fact is our playing surface makes Wembley look like Centre Court. It’s got more bobbles on it than one of me Nan’s cardies.

I tell ‘em: “Just get it forward and we’ll start playing up their end.”

The Toon Army are not happy with this rustic approach, asking for something a bit more sophisticated, like.

Of course Tynesiders are very sophisticated fellas. Your average fans at St James’s spend the half-time interval discussing Wittgenstein over a bottle of Merlot and some artisan foccacia.

Joey Barton has called the Magpie crowd ‘vicious’, which is laughable. I’d like to know what Joey’s definition of vicious is. Perhaps Ousmane Dabo has a definition too.

If the team churns out abject performances like the ones chucked up against Liverpool and Pompey, you’d have to be an imbecile not to expect some angry supporters.

Mr Ashley aside, the Toon Army go and watch people on vastly superior wages to themselves and for too long too many of them have not been earning it.
It all starts with results of course – and 1-1 against the Arse is not a bad start. It was great that the Evening Chronicle encouraged the fans to get behind the team on Wednesday night. They were rewarded with a bit of oomph for a change.

But when Barton or some other overpaid dimwit starts slagging the fans for getting hacked off then you have to wonder what these players are on. It’s not up to the Gallowgate to make the players do better.

To his credit, Allardyce has not tried spreading the blame around the terraces. The team have been crap against Pompey and Liverpool especially. But the man’s been there for how long? Four months? It’s not like they’re rock-bottom.

There are a few football clubs whose fans seem to exist in a bubble of total self-delusion: Newcastle, Spurs, Villa – your supporters still dwell in some romantic never-never-land where Jackie Milburn, Danny Blanchflower and Dennis Mortimer never got any older and are still just waiting for a first-team call-up even today.

Then there’s the clubs whose fans are realists/miserabilists: Man City, Everton, Boro. We’re just happy to be competing.

Newcastle aren’t very good. Allardyce has as good a chance as any – and certainly a better chance than the scowling Sourness or the droning Roeder – of getting the team winning summat.

If not him, then who? Shearer continues to be an obvious candidate but how can they afford him? Not the wages so much as the celebration.

They’ll fly him in dangling from a black and white helicopter, pump dry ice into the Gallowgate end and every step on the terrace will light up beneath his feet as he puts his foot down, like Michael Jackson doing Billie Jean.

Small children with gather in heavenly choruses on the pitch and coo “There’s no one quite like Shearer!” with Ant ‘n’ Dec and Bryan Ferry accompanying.

Tony Blair’ll embrace him like a brother. And finally a giant hand will pass through the grey murk of the Tyneside sky and gently place his index finger on Sir Alan’s forehead, officially anointing him “The Geordie Saviour, like”.

My advice would be to stick with Sam. There are too many glowering chairmen sitting on managers’ chests like some monstrous millionaire demons. They need to get out of the bleeding way for a while and let the managers manage.

Hear the St James’s Roar!

Work was work yesterday. Nothing really to report. Lee seems to have settled in ok, and it’s continuing the countdown to christmas I think! Next to nothing seems to be coming in, but it’s been the same the previous 9 years I’ve been here. Carol made me a jacket potato and beans yesterday, and Maddsy seemed to have the hump on over this, as he turned round and said “I hope you choke on it” How very nasty indeed. Other than that I’ve been looking into the harassment laws regarding bullying in the workplace, and think something needs to be done. I’m getting fed up of maddsy bullying me and Crit, to make himself feel superior in someway :?

Last night we didnt go to the gym, cos John couldnt make it, and the same again tonight, so I went on Forza 2 for a bit (Giving COD 4 a break for a bit! It’s doing my nut in if i’m honest  ) and managed to blast through a few career races, and step up a racer level from 30 to 31 (Crit seems to be closing on me, so it was needed :P )  Sorted some tea out, then nervously changed over to Sky Sports ready to watch the Newcastle vs Arsenal game.  The manager has come in for some proper stick lately, but I for one think that given time, he can help try and bring stability to the club (which is what we need more than anything) and hopefully the trophy that us fans have been craving for years and years.

The game started in the worst way! We were a goal down after only 4 minutes, and I was kinda embracing myself ready for a barrage on our goal from the dream team of the moment Arsenal.  Once they boys had settled, we started getting about Arsenal and made a game of it.  The home crowd seemed to be buoyed by the passion the lads were showing, and were almost back to their vociferous best.  I dont know what my neighbours think when Newcastle are on telly, cos I do seem to get a bit carried away    2nd half we seemed to have the grit between the teeth, and this upset Arsenal, and seemed to knock the swagger out of them ha ha!  We ended the game in the Arsenal half having a run of corners, but nothing came of them. I am hoping this is the turn around, the next 4 games are crucial in our season!  Starting with Birmingham @ Home on Saturday, Fulham away  the week after and then Derby @ Home 23rd and Boxing days trip to Wigan.  Hopefully 3 wins atleast will set us up for the trip down to Stamford Bridge :|

After the game, I nipped back on Forza 2 and had a few more races before retiring to my bed absolutely shattered.

Body says no!!

Since last night I’ve finally realised that I am getting on a bit. My body is not made for some of the things i’ve been putting it through

Yesterday at work was just a continuation of database entering, with a break for dinner, when I nipped into town and paid the present off my loving grandparents into the bank :D On monday I did a CD for Carol which contained just 1 song on it, 18 times. This was because her hubby Kev had been winding her and their daughter Lauren up the wall by singing a few words from this Christmas song, so Carol thought it would be funny to do him a CD, with just that song on. She then put the CD on the seat of his car, and left it with a little note saying “Play me please”. According to Carol he phoned her later that morning in tears. He really couldnt stop laughing, and said atleast he will know a few more words to the song  As a gift for this Carol brought me a box of Maltesers and a jacket potato with ham and cheese sauce, which was delicious.

Nipped home after work, and quickly got changed and freshened up ready for an assault on the gym. Got there, and spotted Caz’s car, but she was busy doing “spinning” whatever that is :? Had a decent session on the shoulders again, altho John has decided chest monday followed by shoulders tuesday is a little suicidal, so he’s gonna change the routine I reckon.  Another decent stomach workout, and I made my way over to my mums to pick up my mince. Maddsy was being mardy, cos I said I wasn’t gonna go football training, having just been to the gym.  Decided to shut him up anyway and turned up.  Was a laugh, with Bagi killing himself, then continuing to run around like a headless chicken, Maddsy laying on the floor like some sort of dumped whale saving shots with his legs, me skinning him, then finishing with a typical strikers toe-poke finish, and then me one-on-one, and sliding the ball through his legs!! Tunél as the spaniards would call it

Got home, and watched the end of the Spooks episode I watched last week, and then Hatton vs Mayweather 24/7 on Sky Sports! Really got me in the mood for the fight Sunday morning :D   Watched Spooks again on BBC3, and it just seems to get better every episode lol and then retired to my pit, feeling like shit.

Wiggy on the go…

Yesterday was Lee’s first day, and it all went OK I think. He didnt seem too impressed when the senior members of staff in the office (Me and my boy Maddox) sent Lee on his way to the chippy at dinner  But he went over non-the-less bless him. Not sure how well received he was by the rest of the workers, but he is having a laugh with me and maddsy, and getting involved with things already.

Maddsys Beemer was shagged yesterday, so he got Karl to give him a lift to work, and then asked if I could give him a lift home. It all hinged on what time I was going to the gym, cos I’d already said I’d pick our Lewi up about 5:30. Luckily had enough time to get Maddsy home safely, and then take our Lew to my mums. Waited round there for abit watching Rocky 3 as it was about the only decent film on any of the movie channels. My mum and dad came home, and once they’d sorted their tea out, I managed to sweet talk my mother and father into cooking me some mince in my slow cooker, so I can nip round tonight and take it home! Thats me fed for the rest of the week  Also I managed to get my own back on our Stef, by nicking a pair of his tracksuit bottoms to go to the gym in, rather than the jeans I wore to work. John, or should I say Caz, couldnt make their mind up about what time they wanted to go to the gym, so one minute it was 8, then half 7, then 8 again

Went over to the gym, and am trying to get back “the eye of the tiger” That hunger to step up to the next level and everything  But it just wasn’t happening! I was too busy chatting to John, who asked if I went out this weekend, and then corrected himself by saying “Oh yeah Caz said she saw you” *rollseyes* Another good chest session, and it’s becoming more and more noticeable now :D Specially now i’ve taken to doing one certain exercise which I hated to start with. Did a bit on the stomach again, and then called it a day. Got back and watched the last 20 minutes of the Man Utd game, whilst I sorted myself some beans on toast out and a shake, and then laid in bed watching Goodfellas. What a film :D Once again this morning I headed over to pick our Lewi up and drop him off at Dee’s

I have just remembered a quite funny moment from sat night.  Ant came out from his dance in the penthouse, and he was chuckling away.  Apparently he was chatting to the lass waiting for the next song, and they were talking about dogs, and how the lass hated them or something.. and Ant turned round and said he hates dogs too! Cos one sniffed his crotch, then tried to rape him one time.  When she asked what dog it was he turned round and said a “Great Dane” and after that she couldnt take him seriously  – Awaits confirmation on that story… I’ve been to sleep a few times since he told me, and I was still deaf at the time

So what was that all about??

Not blogged for a while as nothing major has been going on if i’m honest! It just appears the same old stuff over and over again. Get home, gym, bed, work next day

Thursday night went to the gym, and we worked on the arms for only the 2nd time in the 6 or so months I’ve been going. It was agony, and having John tell me how to do the exercises when 30% deaf it was slightly odd to say the least. Took me one or two reps to get used to it, and I was able to muster up the power to complete every rep :D I wont lie, my arms felt numb afterwards, altho I managed to drive home OK. Got home and found myself watching telly for a bit, before finally admitting defeat in my battle over tiredness, and headed up to bed.

Friday was the typical friday. Not a deal happened to be honest at work, Karl and Brett were out down Wembley way or something sorting out the London Wasps Marquees, and I did anything that came my way, whilst Zoe and Atom are busy trying to redesign the packaging and things. I also bought JDM-DC2.co.uk, so now need to think what I can do with it  God damn chatting to Jeff about random websites via msn.

Got home from work, and quickly gathered my wallet and headed over to the hairdressers. Its always a highlight going into see Claire and Laura  Had a few random chats with Claire once she’d finished my mums hair, and my mum had gone to get some chips! She was waiting round expecting a lift, but whilst waiting she was pacing around the shop like a pitbull! She was adamant our stef was hanging around outside the shop with some of his croonies, even tho i’d text him to see where he was and he was out collecting. I told Claire my criteria for a lady, and I think she’s on the look out for me  altho she did have to remind me that she was already married haha!

Took my mum home, and had some chips on a cob before heading into the shower. It was just like i’d never moved out! Walking round the house with just my jeans on, posing infront of the mirror  Man i’m becoming vain! My dad even went to the extent of calling me a posing bugger, yet they both agreed that my shoulders are looking alot bigger… result! Even claire commented, It’s always nice when people notice these sort of things :D Once I’d nicked some of our stefs aftershave and hair putty, I set off to go and pick Jeff up, and meet Lee in the Ranger. Hadn’t seen Jeff for ages, and it was his first time in the DC2. Had to get some money out, so we headed over to the Spa shop, and saw Viv, who recognised me from Mini-Marquees (Her husband Trev worked with us for many years before retiring last year) Had a nice night in the Ranger with Jeff who was quickly becoming more and more wasted. Saw Laura Ellis in there. Not seen her for years, and so had a bit of a chat with her, as she was now working behind the bar. And I think they’re doing food again! Hope they decide to bring back the Steak Night as they had under the previous owner! That ruled. Once again I was battling tiredness, so dropped Jeff off home, and called it a night.

Got up latish Saturday morning, and put Soccer AM on which has become a bit of a ritual on Saturday mornings again :D and then decided to watch the Hearts vs Celtic game, as the last few I’d watched had been quite tasty affairs, and was hoping of more of the same ha ha! Wasn’t a bad game in which it finished 1-1 with Hearts scoring in the last minute. Wuickly changed over to the Chelsea vs West Ham game after that, and Chelsea seemed lucky to come away with the 3 points from what I saw anyway ;) Newcastle continued their dreadful away form yet again, this time going down 3-1 to Blackburn. It wasnt for lack of trying, and upon the final whistle, It appeared the supporters are realising that yes it’s a bad time for the club, but the club and players need the fans to be 100% behind them! Or else we’ll get no-where. Wasn’t that fussed about going out that night, but a few texts from Ant persuaded me to do otherwise, and so I watched the Aston Villa vs Arsenal game, and then got ready to go and pick Lee up.

Parked up and made our way into 53 where we met up with Ant, Matty and a few of their mates, and made our way upto our new HQ… The Penthouse ha ha ha!  Unfortunately Matty didnt make it up  We’d not been up there long when some of the girls sat down with us for a chat! After a bit we headed off to the Swan for a pint, and saw Mini-Bean out the back, so Ant spoke to him briefly.  After that we went upto Romans for one, and then over to Yates’s. Nipped into Flanigans. and Ant was ripping on this lass, who he claimed had a fake D&G Necklace on ha ha! Didnt stay in there long tho, cos the queue to get upstairs was massive, so we made our way over to QI… to find out that we’d just missed a massive punch-up! Proper wounded about that :(   Must have been a good one tho, cos there were shit-loads of bouncers holding people down and shit :D

As soon as we got in, I bumped into my life-long buddy Ryan, and his missus, so we had the now traditional “Remember what happened in Bratislava”  Like I could ever forget mate ;)   And Ant and Lee went over to the Punchball for some more antics.  I had a go, and am slightly improving everytime, but I cant be doing with wasting my money on that, not when I aint got much anyway    Me and Lee went upstairs for a bit of a boogie, and I Caz walked straight past me, and the lass she was out with knew it was me but decided to ignore me.  I think everyone can guess who it was *rollseyes*  Anyway went over to say hello to Caz, and turned to say hello to the ex and tell her something, but she just turned away! So much for being friendly and shit, so I told Caz I’d see her later and went to get a drink.  Me and Lee left not long after that, cos the childish way she reacted towards me annoyed me more than anything, and we were both about ready to leave anyway.  Atleast it appears Caz is still talking to me :)

Sunday I woke up bout 10 and sat on the computer chilling, and took about 3 phone calls from Ant telling me what went off once we’d gone last night  He aint having much luck that lad ROFL,  He told me he was about ready to do his first batch of washing since moving in with Ste and Stacy  and that reminded me thatI had a load I needed to do. I had a nice chat wth Nemma for a bit, looking through old ebay toys, and discussing the events from sat night, as I was still annoyed.  Her loss not mine.  Got ready, and headed over to Casa de Ratfink (sorry for renaming your house Lee ha ha) ready for the Stags game.  It was mixed emotions, cos we kinda wanted Mansfield to win, but also kinda wanted them to lose.  Basically there is a consortium trying to buy out Keith Haslam the chairman, who has said the clubs is for sale, but he seems to be dragging it out, and if the stags had got through and been drawn to one of the big 4, then we’re sure he’d keep control of the club till after that game, and then try and demand more money from the consortium*  It seemed like a bog of a pitch, similar to the parks we play on sunday mornings, and the Stags didnt play to their best, but at parts played some nice football and won 3-2.  Brighton away in the next round, just after the New Year.

Got home after the 3rd round draw, content that we’ve got Stoke City away, and SHOULD be in the draw for the next round… atho this being Newcastle we’ll have to wait and see  , And decided to watch Rocky 2 and 3 as I’d recently got my box set back from a certain someone :P   Ordered a pizza ready for Top Gear, and basically spent the rest of the night watching telly and vegging out with loads of brews and a pizza :D   Watched a few NFL games, and then retired to my pit and watched Bad Boys 2.  Before that I had a phone call off my dad saying basically that my Grandma and Grandad are helping all their grandchildren out, by giving us a bit of money, which I thought was awfully nice of them :D Cheers Grandparents.
This morning I’ve had to go to Rainworth to get my brother, and drop him off at a painting job (which I hope he dont mess up, as it’s for Dee @ work).  Also Lee starts with us today, and I’ve already had a text off Maddsy saying tell Lee to park his car with the rest of us mere mortals, so I just replied NO  And that as they say is that
