Happy New Year!!

Just like to say Happy New Year to everyone, and hope most of you have a great 2008

Not really updated this that often whilst I’ve been off work, cos to be honest I aint really got up to much other than watching films and finding myself doing alot of thinking.

Boxing day I went round to our Hev and Mikes for Boxing Day tea along with my mother and father, and spent most of the day watching the football, and Yet again Newcastle fail to get anything from a game against one of the bottom 2! A week of two ago, It’d looked like we’d turned the corner, and there would be much cheer, after a 1-1 draw with Arsenal, followed by a 2-1 win over Birmingham and a last gasp 1-0 win over Fulham.  Any normal fan would be thinking their team had turned the corner… but then a 2-2 draw against bottom club Derby, in a game where we really didnt play well, coupled with a 1-0 defeat away to Wigan, who are 2nd bottom, shows how big the task is for Big Sam!! We were cheated out of a point against Chelsea, when Kalou was stood 4 yards off-side when the ball was flicked through off a CHELSEA player! Shame the assistant referee didnt see it, but thats the story of our season.

Wednesday I nipped over to Maddsy’s for a bit, to see the kids and things, and ended up with a bonus! Crewy came round.  First time I’d seen that lump in over a year or so    Kieran thought it’d be funny to chuck all his new toys at me, and Dylan was being his usual pain in the ass self.  Stevie and Maddsy were more interested in playing on their kids Nintendo DS’s  Maddsy even threatened Jessica with being banished to bed if she didnt let him have a go on her cooking game HAHAHAHA! Mean fucker.

The other day I had some one add me on facebook, that I’d never have expected uses it! Many many years ago I used to play for FLL Aerospace on sundays with Bucko, Draper and some others who I have on there, and I got a friends request from Woody! Who was our player/manager  Turns out he’s now living in Halifax in Nova Scotia  WOW I’d love to go over there for a few weeks and just chill out :D

Yesterday afternoon I watched a re-run of the New York Giants vs New England Patriots game, cos wanted to watch it live, but with it starting at 1am I was asleep before it started (for once).  Was great to see New England finish the season 16-0! First perfect season for bout 35 years.  Lets hope they can win their next 3, and finish the season with the Superbowl in their hands!  After that I got a surprise text off John saying did I fancy the gym at 4.  My mum and dad returned the DVD’s I’d lent him to put on his IPOD just before I left for the gym, and I called in to Tesco on the way to fill up with some petrol ready for tonight, as It was uber low.  Noticed that the price of Super Unleaded has dropped by 2p since I last went in and is now the same price as the normal unleaded at 104.9 :?

It was bloody hard at the gym, and I’m now aching like hell  We didnt finish the normal routine either, before John decided to call it a day.  Found myself in bed last night at 9pm, and slept through till 4am when I woke up with toothache! Few paracetamol, and some random kids cartoons on the telly, soon helped me back to sleep, and woke up feeling shattered at half 10 :D .

Tonight I’m off to Phil and Helens to see in the New Year as per last year.  Lets hope this new year is a hell of a lot better than the current one *rollseyes*

A bit of Christmas cheer!!

So since my last update there has been a bit going off here and there  Not been to the gym or anything, cos to be honest I think I over did it a tad when on the treadmill the other day, and I’ve felt really really tired since! Even when I went to bed bout 10ish, I found myself awake at 6am, and unable to get back to sleep :?

Anyway Friday I nipped out and about, delivered some cards and letters, and got myself a new digital camera ready for the Christmas Night out with work, and also any future nights out I should find myself on. Once I’d dropped Owens present off at my mums for her to wrap, I got home, and chilled out for a bit watching a film or two, before getting ready to go and meet everyone from work up at the Foxglove pub opposite ASDA. After a few beers in there, we headed off to Notts with everyone in tow. Got dropped off outside Via Fossa and cos we were early we headed in there for a few beers. Even then Alison was getting on peoples nerves. After a few bottles in there, we headed just round the corner to the pub thats below Jongleuers (Cant remember the name) and when we walked in, me and Lee noticed they were doing Jager Bombs for 1.65  this being just gone 6 in the evening, me, Lee, Maddsy and Pigeon Legs thought it would be a great idea to neck 4 each in about 10 minutes. We were then allowed upstairs, and made our way to the reserved tables for our dinner. The whole night was amazing, apart from Alisons heckling of one of the comics. On a whole I thought they were all great, and then once they’d tidied the tables away, a few of us danced for the rest of the night! God my calves hurt like hell the following morning  Pictures can be found HERE But I’ll stick a few good ones here.

Woke up saturday dinner, feeling not too bad, altho I was supposed to have been up at 5:30 to go and help our Malc, I decided as I got in at gone 3 there was no chance I was even gonna think about jumping in my car, so turned my phone off, and slept till midday. Spent all that day chilling out watching various football games on the telly. And then went over to the Rushley for a few drinks to celebrate Fee’s birthday. Was nice to see some of the people out, and confirmed to Phil I’ll be over his and Helens gaff for New Years Eve.
Sunday was pretty much the same, altho I went over to my mum and dads for dinner, and my uncle Mick came over before the Newcastle vs Derby game, and had a nice chat with him. Not seen him for ages, so was nice to have one of our Newcastle United orientated chats :D The Newcastle game was shocking, and if I’m honest Derby deserved to get something out of the game! We had quite a few chances, but just didnt convert them *rollseyes* With about 5 minutes left it looked like Derby were gonna complete the double over us! And that’d be their only 2 wins this season  stayed and watched most of the Blackburn vs Chelsea game, wanting Chelsea to win for selfish reasons (i.e. Chelsea win meant Newcastle were level on points with Blackburn having played the same amount of games  ) Got home and watched the one of the biggest rivalries in football. Barcelona vs Real Madrid. Wasn’t a classic, but el classico did have lots of passion and some good play between some of the best players in the world. Was happy to see Real Madrid win 1-0 in the camp Nou, and are now 7 points clear of Barca in 2nd place :D Monday started, and I was gonna go out down Mansfield with John and the others for Wills birthday, but as the day went on, I just couldnt seem to get myself into a festive mood, and I found myself watching more dvd’s throughout the day , until Vicky text me, and said a few of them were gonna go to the Rushley if I fancied it, so it gave me an excuse to get out of the house. Got there and still didnt feel like Christmas Eve. There was Vicky, Lee,and the twins, and later on we were joined by D and Nik.  Left bout 10:45ish and laid on the settee watching Red Dwarf :D

Got up Christmas day, and headed over to my mums.  Wasn’t long and our Mick had popped over, hoping that our Owen was up so he can say Merry Christmas, but he was still at Sarahs, but rang my mum not long after, and she said he sounded soooo excited! We all opened our few presents, and my grandma had bought my dad the Zoo joke book :? Had me in stitches all day reading it, and I may stick one or two of the good ones up on here at some point.  Our Stef shouted us to look out the window cos Owen was walking up the street, and we all started laughing. It was great once he’d walked in and his eyes lit up when he saw “Presents” and he opened them one by one, and had a bit of a play with each toy.  He seemed to like the Bob the Builder workshop I’d bought him, but his eyes really did light up when he opened one of my mum and dads presents. “Oh yeah… Hot Wheels”  He absolutely loves his cars.  Had a nice dinner, and then we all chilled out watching a few films including Finding Nemo and Shrek.  Managed to get Owen to agree that our Stef looks like Shrek    Hell as it was Christmas I even watched both episodes of Eastenders and Dr Who

Got home and have uploaded one or two pictures from Christmas Day round at my mothers, and then sat watching The Departed and Red Dwarf on the old Television

Stupid Alien Technology!!

So heres a random little story about today…

Si i did a bit of shopping today, and bought our Owens christmas present.  A talking Bob the Builder workshop, no idea if it’ll stay at my mum and dads, or go to our Lewi’s, but it’s at my mothers at the minute to wrap up    Anyway, whilst I was out and about I had a few letters to post to someone, so went and did that, and then dropped the present off at my mums.  on the way back I thought what the hell, I’ll let my Sat Nav lead me.  Originally I thought nothing of it, as it led me up Warsop Lane.  I thought it was gonna take me down Blidworth lane, and bring me out near the roundabout for the bypass.  Wrong, it told me to carry on through Blidworth, then just past the Bird in Hand pub, it told me to turn right, down Rickett Lane, which is a country road.  I quickly found out that Semi-slick tyres, along with mud on the road aint the best combination, as I skidded to a stop to pull in and let a range rover come past.  Anyway got to where the road joins tha A60, and realised once it told me to cross over, that it somehow thought the gym was “Home”   Must have been messing about with it a while back or something.  It’s all sorted now tho hahaha

The Grinch is alive and well…

Not really been upto much this week, apart from winding down ready for my holidays. John was off gigging it in Manchester wednesday and thursday, so I didnt go to the gym, and cos it was so fricking cold outside, I decided to tuck into the beer I bought a few days ago, whilst hitting the xbox :D

So anyway, work has been a case of winding down for me atleast, that is until Friday!! Has to go down as one of the craziest days for a long time. What started with Maddsy thinking next week will be a quiet one, with no me or Geoffrey has now turned into one hell of a busy week  Anyway he was getting more and more stressed as the day went on, when Geoffrey was getting more orders, and quoting delivery as week 2  Maddsy moaned to Mark that me and Geoffrey had done bugger all for the whole of December, then on the day we both break up for our holidays, we decided to give him a nice headache of how to fit all this work in. Plus the added fact that some of them were printed jobs, which meant Crit needed to print them this week before they broke up!

After all the fun at work, I decided to get myself home, and wind down big style. It was all going well, I was on the xbox, and having a bit of a surf on the World Wide Web, until I got this knock at the door, and this bespectacled lad barged past me, and said “I need a piss Wiggy” It took me a few seconds to get my bearings, and once he’d got to the top of the step, and I was still in the doorway looking out, I saw Johns car parked there, with Caz waving at me from the passenger seat  Turns out they’d been to JTF, and John was bursting, and saying “I hope Wiggy is in… I really do” It was one of them moments I aint gonna forget in a hurry, due to its bizarreness. Had a quick chat with Caz, and found out she was out Sat night on her work do, so said I was gonna drive down for Tibbzys birthday, and there would always be a seat free for her :D So she thanked me, and they made their way to their next destination. The rest of the night was spent having a few beers, and watching some random stuff on telly :D

Saturday morning came, and I was up earlyish, cos Lee was coming round so we could nip to Mcarthur Glen and pick up a new shirt and jumper for the saturday night, and Tibbzys birthday. Had a mozey on round the shops looking for some new shoes, and saw some nice ones, but I was hoping to find some white shoes. Went into Baronjon, and laughed at John for a bit, and ended up buying this really nice whiet shirt with thin black stripes, and 2 more Peter Werth jumpers same as the grey one I bought, but in a dark blue/violet colour, and a cream one. Lee bought some new shoes, so that made me want to buy the pair i’d seen earlier. They are really nice, and were knocked down to £45 from £90 so I aint complaining. We made a quick get-away after that, cos Lee’s dad was trying to fix his motor for him, and Lee didnt want him kicking off for him being away so long whilst he was doing him a favour.

Lee dropped me off home, and I decided to nip round to the coffee shop to see my mum, and hopefully our Owen. Laura Daunt was round at the coffee shop with her newborn Micha (think thats the spelling) and my mums mate Sue was beaming. She’s joined the grandma’s club  Wasn’t long and our Hev had come down after having her haircut, and then Stef made an appearance wanting some money off my mother. Left there, and headed up to my mums, whilst my mother waited in the village for Sarah to bring Owen to her, and I made myself at home, and made myself a drink like normal hahaha! Didnt stay too long, as I wanted to get home, so I could have a bath and things before the Newcastle game, which was the evening kick off on Setanta. Arranged with Vicky to pick her up, and drop her off, as her mate had cancelled on her, and I was gonna leave not long after that to go and get Lee anyway.

Our Hev after her haircut… Bionic arm Stef… Story time with Owen

Watched the Newcastle match, and it was a dire affair, altho I think we maybe shaded it for our efforts in the first 10 minutes, when we forced the issue. Was a defo penalty, and Joey Barton tucked it away for our first away win since the opening day of the season, and our first clean sheet in god knows how long

Finished off getting ready, and then made my way over to Vickys house. Dropped her off, after parking up waiting for Smithy, and having a nice chat, and then made my way over to Ravenshead to pick up Mr Kirk. I was accused by Barbara of using their house as a toilet stop  Pretty much the same way John had  Parked up in the usual spot, and then made our way to the top Wetherspoons to meet Maddsy, Vicky, Tibbzy, Kerry, Smithy and some other randoms. Wasn’t long before we were on the move over to Cheeky Monkeys, and thats where the night took a bit of a turn. I shall not go into it on here tho. Went into Romans after that, and bumped into an old team mate from last season, Chris Bray, and then from there, we stood outside freezing our knackers off, before we decided to go over to Marthas. Seemed to take an age to get served in there, and Smithy being the first to the bar, was the last one to come back with a drink  stayed in there for a bit, and then we made our way over to Liquid. Before we left Marthas I bumped into Jade Sisson, someone i’d not seen in a long time, so we had a brief hello, how are you chat, and then it was onwards to Liquid.

Tibbzy after a few Cheeky Monkey shots… Dumb and Dumber, they can fight out who is who… Smithy and Vicky
Ryan and his good lady… Me and Vicky… Olly and Widdo
Tibbzy, his missus Kerry and their mates… Me looking a little special… Me directing traffic once again

Was free to get in again, and just as we were walking past Chicago, I heard someone shouting me, and it was Carl Ashley and Daz Peppard! Some more people I hadn’t seen in a long time either. Was turning out to be a night of bumping into old friends  As we were queuing for Liquid, Caz and her mates rudely raced past us, and even tho I shouted her, she ignore me!! How rude! Specially as I was her taxi home  She soon turned round and gave me a cuddle, and then went and rejoined her mates in the queue. Was great in liquid and busted a few shapes and that, before heading out the door. I had text Caz and said I’ll meet you and Sarah outside in 2 minutes, as Sarah needed a lift home too. Was stood outside Chicago for about 10 minutes until Caz popped her head out the door  She took it as 2 minutes from reading the text! WOMEN!!! Caz had the remote for the stereo on the way home, and had a laugh with the pair of them. Quite enjoy having chats with Caz. We end up chatting about alsorts of random shit. Got home and uploaded the photos I’d taken, and went to bed.

Me looking a little bemused… Two random lasses…  Me in the dancing “zone”

Got up Sunday after a nice lie in, and headed over to my mum and dads for dinner. My mum had decided to take our Stef to McArthur Glen in the afternoon and let him go round the shops, to see how much the clothes actually cost, and whilst they did that I chilled, not feeling too well, watching the Grand Slam Sunday. Both games were feisty to say the least, altho I found myself asleep for the second half of the Liverpool vs Man Utd game. I told my dad that both United and Arsenal would win! Wish I’d had a bet on it now! Bionic man was busy trying some of his new clothes on, and he’d bought on top that said XL, but it was loads smaller than the other XL’s he’d bought, so I tried it on, and it fitted, so ended up buying it! I dont even have to go shopping to spend money  Got home, and chilled for the the rest of the night. Was due to go to the pub with Lee and some others, but didnt feel upto it, so stayed in with a few brews, random American football on the telly, when you could hardly see anything due to the blizzard they were playing in, and chatting to a few folks on msn.

Was up bout 8.30ish Monday morning, and ready for the day ahead  Went and put some petrol in the motor, and then made my way over to Lizzies. Followed her over to Burge’s where I handed my car keys over, and then we made our way over to McArthur Glen for Starbucks and a general wander round. Bought a new shirt and a few dvd’s including the American Pie box set, with the new Beta House which was recommended to me by a friend ;) Got home, and watched Taxi 3, I remembered watching the first 2, and altho they’re in french, they’re subtitled in English, and I LOVE the Pug thats in it :D also watched American Pie Beta House, which I thought was quality, and then it was time to go and check out my car. When we got to Burge’s I was fair impressed with what it had gone from to what it had become :D Altho it didnt take long before it was mud splattered again  Had a good session on the chest in the gym, and spent the rest of monday night chilling in front of the telly, and chatting to folks again.

One or two pics Burge took once he’d finished

Had to take some money to the bank first thing tuesday morning, so got up and made my way into town for 9.30, and thought as I was out and about I’d go work up a sweat in the gym on the treadmill and a few other cardio things, and also did a set of stomach exercises. Was nice and quiet in there so just took my time and sat watching music videos for a bit :D Nipped home, and picked up my cheque book, and then made my way over to my mum and dads, hoping our Stef was in or something, but he’d gone out, and left the telly on *rollseyes* Not long later, and I was over at the hairdressers having my hair trimmed, and highlights done. Enjoy going to the hairdressers, but I was shattered and almost fell asleep whilst Laura was washing my hair after  hehe. Had an SOS call from work, cos with them all being complete retards, they couldnt get some artwork printing properly. So once I’d left the hairdressers I made my way to work, and within ha;f an hour I’d sorted it *rollseyes* Exactly how I told someone to do it on the phone ;) Also it turns out I’m not allowed to wear old t-shirt to have my haircut, cos they’re a bit tight, and we dont want people thinking i’m trying to impress anyone when I nip into work or anything. So think i’ll wear jumpers to work from now on

Got home and lost an hour on Forza 2, before having myself some tea, and then headed over to the gym for another weights session. Then I got home, and chatted to an old friend who added me on msn. Lost complete track of the time, and it turned out that we’d been chatting for hours, and it was just gone 3am! Which is quite late for an old timer like myself

Wiggy’s latest statement.

Wiggy would like to come forward and scotch any rumours that may have been started by certain people.

I categorically deny the use of any sort of “gear” within my training routine  It’s pure sweat, and protein shakes baby :D

It helps when you’ve got someone helping you on your way like my mate Mr Motivator (see below) hahaha!

He has been a big influence on my lifestyle on the whole! Being my fitness instructor, personal stylist/shopper and nutritionist (altho I dont pay much attention to that part  ) In fact we were reminiscing only last night, at when I first joined the gym about 6 months ago, and I had stick thin arms, and struggled to lift anything!

Anyway… I have not, and will not touch steroids in my aim to reach my goals (which I aint even set yet :? )
