Weird Rants Of A Reformed Wiggy

The blog is soon to end i think folks! This is due to one person! Geoffrey  For some reason even tho the office acts like an oven in the summer, and due to the nice-ish weather, me and Maddsy thought it’d be nice to have to Air-Con unit on! Baring in mind its right at the other end of the office, we thought nothing of making sure the machine works! OH DEAR GOD!! Bout 2 minutes later Geoffrey is up off his feet, moaning that it’s gonna give him a bad back, all this draft, which cant be bad to say i’m sat closer, and cant feel it :?

Anyway Geoffrey then decided that he was gonna put a chair in the way to block the “draft” coming his way, then in the end even tho we had the machine on all last summer, “it’s too noisy” WTF!! So we’re all gonna die in this office once it gets hotter, cos also it appears we aint allowed to leave our desks unless we have permission! COs 5 minutes later he’ll ring us to tell us something *rollseyes* - Maddsy i’m sure will comment on this ;)

So other than that yesterday didnt get upto much! Few emails bouncing around, watched National Lampoons Dorm Daze after Maddsy told me to watch it, and was sat there thinking OH DEAR GOD! WHAT IS THIS!! One of the most random films i’ve seen for a long time!

Looking forward to the game tonight! Man United vs Sheff United! Who’s gonna have bragging rights on sunday at football!! Chip Cob – Sheff Utd boy or half the squad, incl Maddox, bit of a tough one that

Gonna be a long day tho! Maddsy and Mark are out of the office, so his lordship will think he owns the company for the day, and we wont be allowed the air-con on or anything GRRRRR!!!

Oh well! :D

Champions… Champions… Champions… Part 2!!

We’ve finally managed to nail it!!

Been a long hard season, with more plus points than negative! Been a tremendous season, and I’d like it to be known that i’m so glad i got back into playing this season! VERY nearly didnt tho! But thats a story i’ll keep till later in the blog

So Friday night i sat and watched Wild Hogs, which is a quality film, and had an early night, cos i was still feeling like shit!

Saturday i went to work at 9 with Crit, and we managed to get some stuff printed and rambled on about alsorts of crap like normal  then i went to the hairdressers, and was immediatley greeted with “Do I really scare you Mikey?” from Claire! I was like errmmm… So i hereby declare my previous statement saying Clare scares me is incorrect, and miles from the truth! She’s great, even if she does let Jay get away with too much! you spoil him you do

Went down to Early Doors in the afternoon to meet Mr Kirk…. a.k.a. the random person who leaves ALL the comments, and got chatting about the pending Mansfield Town vs Rochdale game we were going to go torture ourselves whilst watching. Then met his dad, with whom i’ll be keeping an eye on the SMRA championships, as he’s currently leading this seasons Drag racing charts, albeit it after 1 race, but winnings winning I suppose! Was nice to finally meet him, and made a change having a laugh face to face rather than over emails, and he seems like a really great guy, who really does know his shizzle when it comes to cars, but also Mansfield Town, and we had many laughs about many things during the few hours at the stags game
The game its self was dire, and there were so many times i wanted to go on and boot the ball into the net to show how simple it is  but Lee wouldnt let me :( Miserable man! Stags scored just before half time to make it 1-1, and so luckily had something to cheer about as I enjoyed the half time entertainment.. no wait i missed the ~Stagettes~ Due to waiting for my half-time beverage! Which was the good old Bovril, which drew a weird face from Lee, who thought i was crazy for wanting to drink it! Also had a nice Meat & Potato pie, even tho they were bloody overpriced  nothing should surprise me with the stags tho! £15 to watch that crap, then they charge 2.80 for a bottle of carling, which is more than likely warm as well :| 2nd Half was not much better to be honest, altho the stags were the better team i suppose, but as is always the case, late goals cost the stags yet again, and they fell to a 2-1 defeat

Got home, and decided to watch the Man Utd match, whilst registering online with Dominos Pizza! So I dont even have to pick up the phone, and go to a cash point to order a pizza now! I am becoming the ultimate Lazy Slob! Almost like Maddsy, whom today was sat outside the Fox and Crown, who were showing the Chelsea game, and he phoned me to check the score, cos he couldnt be arsed to walk the 40 yards to be able to see the TV screen  Only other thing of note, was watching that Shooter film! Thought it was amazing!

Got up this morning feeling shattered, but still went over to football! Was a red hot day, and after 20 minutes i really couldnt get into the game, and thus had my worst game ever! not helped by playing Right wing for the first time in ages, and just didnt have the confidence or energy to do much :( won 6-2 in the end tho, and that has won us the league! So league and cup double this season! Like i said earlier, i did contemplate not playing after the first few training sessions, because when i felt somewhat guilty of leaving bex at home with nothing to do or anything, and she never looked happy when i got back, cos all i wanted to do was have a bath, and then chill! Which ruined sundays for her! So maybe her leaving was a blessing in one way  Cos in the end i’ve been part of a great squad and made quite a few friends through the team :)

Also today had a bit of a chat with someone, and hopefully we’ve managed to sort a bit of a night out, which should be good, and will be nice to see this person again after not having seen them for what seems like an age!! And also looking forward to going out next weekend, and it not being Mansfield, so should be a good night hehehe

Roll on the end of season league presentation when all league winners go and get their trophies! Heard its always a lively affair  and then after that will be some photos from the teams presentation night, which promises to be a great laugh

Nostalgia Corner

The other day at work, Me, Karl, Maddsy and Crit were chatting about the good old days, when we all used to have the same clothes and things like that!

i.e.

Reebok Pump, which were great till your “MATE” thought it’d be funny to sneak up on you, and relsease all the air

Puma Disc’s. Remember having a pair, playing football in them at school for some reason, and hearing a *twang* as i kicked the ball, followed by my trainer shooting 20 odd yards in the same direction as the ball HAHAHA

Everyone at school had a pair of these shoes (middle of the pic)

Another must have brand was

Ralph Lauren shirts were all the rage, then came the Lacoste era, along with Yves Saint Lauren and all that! And these were all must have items for when you were going clubbing at 18 and that

Nowdays its just Burberry and Stone Island, but thats through the younger dare i say it chavvy era:lol:

Ahhh the good old days, when i hardly ever paid for my stuff! now i’m more than happy to do my shopping in Peacocks, Matalan and TK Maxx

And we all used to play on games like this…

Ghostbusters and..

The mighty Turtles

Team Extreme Strike again!!

What a way to start the day!

Gets a phone call from Karl at 7:57 saying “Dont come to work in any rush Wiggy… There is a nice 53 pack delivery of Material” Damn it! Was just round the corner, so did a slow detour of the industrial estate, and parked up! And managed to sneak my way into Karls workshop and made myself a nice brew :D Finally got collared by Maddsy bout 15 minutes later

Ended up with me being on the truck unloading the bloody heavy rolls by myself, and two of the three team extreme members (Maddsy and Lee) using the trolleys to maneuver the rolls into the building. Once i’d done my job, and i thought i was done, i ended up being in the building, helping pile up the bloody rolls! In the end Maddsy came out with the comment “Can tell Wiggy comes from Rainworth! With the ease in which he jumped up onto the pile of rolls like a Ninja, and no-ones Shed is safe” So i’m gonna beat him for that later

Think today is gonna be a long and busy one! Karl is out delivering Marquees to Lincoln, Norwich and somewhere else, and Al is on Day 2 of his long run to Scotland and back via Bury and Preston  So it appears everyone is gonna have to chip in and give others a dig out today

Last night all i did was watch Lost, and then the Tottenham game! And i ended up watching the 2nd half tucked up in bed, feeling really shitty and tired :(

Curious Scribbles Of A Clueless Wiggy

A clueless Wiggy indeed! As in I aint got a clue whats up with me :(

I cant seem to sleep at nights, since sunday, my hayfever seems to have kicked off big time, i’m aching all over, and generally feel like my body is in a bad way!

To try and counter this (I have a feeling it may be a mild case of heat exhaustion and hayfever) I’ve made sure i drink lots of water, which is unlike me  Normally i have to have flavoured things in my water before i drink it! Such a kid deep down i know! Last night i got in from work, and really struggled! I made sure i had some food when i got in, then laid on the settee, and nodded off whilst trying to watch the cricket! Ended up falling asleep and waking up watching the Liverpool game, then went to bed, to find for the 3rd night running I couldnt really get comfy, and in turn found myself having a really bad nights sleep :( GOD DAMN!!

On a slightly different note, one or two people have suddenly ceased all contact it seems :| Not sure if thats true, or they’ve just been busy, Maybe it’s me being paranoid or maybe its not! Only time will tell

Hmm with a bit of luck… Geoffrey fetching some David Boots sausage rolls from Mansfield this dinner time will help me feel a bit better

One or two more pics

Senor Maddox looking a little perplexed! Maybe he spent too long in the green house that was the dugout

Pump and Stu Macca! Trying to look as menacing as possible

The rather slow, old, and ugly looking “Slug Pellet”! Who didnt quite understand his instructions when coming on, NOT TO GO ANY FURTHER THAN THE DUG OUT… then proceeds to bomb forward for a corner

Other news….

Taken from the Newcastle official website

GLENN Roeder was happy to see Newcastle United strike pair Michael Owen and Shola Ameobi continue their rehabilitation from long-term injuries when the duo took part in a training ground game against Gretna on Tuesday afternoon.

The Toon forwards were both on the scoresheet as they enjoyed a run-out against the Scottish side in a non-competitive fixture.

Afterwards, the boss told nufc.co.uk that he was pleased with how the two performed, but again stressed that neither player will be rushed back into action.

He said: “The two lads played in an eleven-a-side game against Gretna at the training ground on Tuesday.

“Michael played for 70 minutes and Shola played for 60 minutes and we are all, including the medical staff, very happy with the way it went.

“But again I have to say that playing an eleven-a-side match on the training ground is still a long way from playing Premiership football.”

Record signing Michael hasn’t played all season after suffering a knee ligament injury on World Cup duty for England last summer while Shola has been sidelined since November after undergoing surgery on a long-standing hip problem.

Not before time! We’ve certainly missed Michael for both Club and Country! :D

Unstructured Meanderings Of An Old And Aching Wiggy!!

Awww i’m not feeling too good!

Think it was a mixture of the heat on sunday, and running around playing football, and the beer a bit yesterday, but even today i am feeling very tired, and now my hayfever has decided to kick in, and luckily i’ve managed to blag some Zirtek tablets from Geoffrey  altho i still feel off :(

Managed to stumble through work yesterday, and got everything done, so was all good there :D

Went to see our Lew after work, and luckily he had Owen, so i stood around and played with him for a bit, and chatted to our Lew about how his painting is going on and things. After that went round to my mums for some tea, and to watch the Man Utd game.  When the game was about to kick off my dad said he wanted to watch the Chelsea game, so in wiggy fashion i told my dad in no uncertain terms, that he had a tv upstairs if he wanted to watch it, and that my mother had invited me round for tea… Lies i know, my mum phoned me when at Lewi’s and i told her to cook me some tea.  My dad responded with, well you’ve got your own bloody house to watch this at!

He ended up watching the Chelsea match on his computer, but found himself switching to the Man Utd game after hearing me celebrate 3 goals in about 9 minutes for United LOL! Was an amazing match to watch, and I’m glad i watched it :D

Today i’ve had a bit of a txt out of the blue lol! Michelle txt me apologising that she’d not sent me any pictures of her daughter Olivia like she promised a few weeks ago! So will have to wait and see :D
